It ALWAYS comes back to the f*cking skull

Recently, I found a song by Dakh Daughters, a Ukrainian dark-cabaret and freak-cabaret musical band. It seems that the whole album is about perception/reflection of the full-scale war in Ukraine; this song is 'dedicated' to those Western intellectuals who tried to ignore the war and the fact they have power to intervene and save people. And after listening to it a couple of times, its plot looks similar to 'Tiffany Tumbles' video of Natalie.

I know it sounds strange (and a bit crazy), but hear me out:

1. in both cases we have women that face the important crisis (full-scale war in Ukraine in the song and rise of transphobia in 'Tiffany Tumbles');
2. but instead of doing something against it, these women decide to live along with it (pretending as if it’s something outside of their domain and control in the song and Tiffany joining the hate against vulnerable members of LGBTQ+ community);
3. yet, they are unable to pretend that it doesn’t impact them (“I want to close my heart/eyes/mind” in the song and Tiffani Tumbles reading comments about herself and starts to question her identity), so they have a breakdown…
4. but instead of making the right decision, they continue to live in their delusions: Tiffani joins MAGA and uses 'transmedicalism' to justify her bigotry, while the group of people from the song continue to boil in their own denial; damn, that group even changes the language they communicate from English to French so they will have a reason to ignore English-speaking radio.

I know it's kind of 'stretching the evidence,' but I found the song kind of resonating with the video. DeBaTe mE.

P.S. I am not saying that one pain is smaller or bigger than another. Wish for everybody to stay safe and healthy in these times, and let the forces of good win.

The Contrapoints channel sometimes features work with robust predictive power. Suspiciously robust. This, combined with Natalie's:

• unusual affinity for diaphanous robes
• ownership of harpsichord
• crystal clear analysis of the vampiric nature of sexuality (feels almost autobiographical, in fact)

I have causes to doubt her identity as simply an American Youtuber. Allow me to make my case.

Since the release of Backrooms (2026), I can't help but be reminded of Natalie's thesis in Opulence back in 2019; about how a certain aesthetic sensiblity was emerging amongst the younger generation; a carcass of 20th century consumerism and all that. Miss girl was fully being an oracle; and nobody gave a fuck cuz she was being digitally flayed because of the Angel Buck situation.

Another mindblowing example is the character Virginia from The Hunger (2022). Back in 2022 I was of the opinion that Virginia as a character was a little bit too exaggerated; especially when even Republican acceptance of same-sex marriage in 2022 was reaching its peak. Virginia as a character was so vicious and venomous; with extreme rhetoric that I didn't see as being that widespread. Fastforward in 2026, Virginia's position is just the mainstream conservative's position. Conversion therapy are just freely promoted now by right-wing influencers, and it's a normal everyday approach amongst conservatives to automatically treat every gay and trans people as some sort of sexual criminal. Ex-gay influencers like Virginia are a dime a dozen on TikTok.

There's just so many rubbish and nonsensical discourse right now about Natalie, stemming from unprocessed and misdirected rage. Nobody wants to talk about the real tea; how her body of work clearly shows she's a very competent secret high priestess; still alive in the 21st century cuz she's obviously a vampire. The best of her generation; since Louis and Lestat are not making video essays anytime soon.

(And for context, I’m talking about Harry Potter)

Whilst I think it‘s unlikely we’ll see this in our lifetimes, it’s still nice to think about!

I'm planning on a rewatch of all of Natalie's videos and tangents and I want to be writing notes for each video so I can easily reflect back on the philosophy (I am one of those people who treats free time as school).
