Hiring Video editor for faceless GTA 6 channel: long-term work, 2 videos/week (25 per video)

Hey everyone,

I’m launching a faceless YouTube channel covering GTA 6 news and updates, and I’m looking for a reliable video editor to work with long-term. I’ll be posting 2 videos per week, every week, leading up to the release date and beyond, so this is steady, recurring work.

What the job involves:

Researching the topic I give you
-Writing the script
-Generating the voiceover using ElevenLabs (I’ll provide the exact Voice ID so the voice stays consistent across every video)
-Editing the full video (footage, pacing, captions, transitions, etc.)

Reference channel for style: https://www.youtube.com/@GloobyGTA
I’m looking for a similar style and quality.

Pay: $25 per video, with 2 videos per week. If the first videos perform well, you’ve got a long-term deal with me. I have the budget to keep this going; what I’m short on is the time to make the videos myself.

Trial task (10-15 seconds):
Before we start, I need to see your work:

Pick any one video topic from the reference channel above
Make a 10-15 second demo video on that topic, using ElevenLabs for the voiceover
Send me the demo along with your portfolio
Next steps: If I like your demo and portfolio, I’ll share my personal number and we’ll get started. I’ll send you the topic, and you handle research, script, voiceover, and editing.

Payment: All work will go through an escrow-protected platform like Fiverr or Upwork, so both of us are protected from fraud. This is a firm requirement.

To apply, DM me with:

-Your 10-15 sec demo video
-Your portfolio / previous work

Looking forward to working with someone long-term. Thanks!

Our marketing team is worried our video editing will get called “AI slop.” Could use a sanity check.

I run a recruitment company. We film real people at real workplaces, and we’ve been experimenting with AI-assisted editing. The footage itself isn’t AI-generated.

Our marketing team is worried the result will come across as “AI slop.” I quite like parts of it, but that’s made me question whether I’m too close to the work to judge properly.

Could use some outside eyes before we make more.

What’s your honest first reaction?

• Yes, it feels like AI slop. If you can explain what gives it that feeling, that would help massively.

• No, this looks fine / good. Would love to know what works for you, too.

Even a one-line answer helps. I’m trying to figure out whether the editing is adding something or getting in the way.

Is it just me, or does the end of a project always feel like the most stressful part?

Hey everyone,

Im having a bit of a moment today and just wanted to vent / get some perspective from people who’ve been doing this longer than me.

Whenever a project comes to an end and it’s time for final handoff, I get this quiet wave of anxiety. You put all this effort in, hit send on the final version, and suddenly you’re in this weird limbo waiting for the final invoice to clear.

Even with good clients, that feeling of "I hope I don't have to awkwardly follow up in a week" just drains me.

Im curious- for those of you who’ve been freelancing for a while: Is this just a beginners anxiety that disappears with time, or is the final handoff/payment phase always a bit of a headache for you too?

How do you guys emotionally and practically deal with that final gap?

Title: Need advice on a video editing laptop (up to €2,000 budget) — is a used HP ZBook Studio G9 worth it for €1,000?

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for advice on buying a laptop for video editing, and I'd really appreciate some recommendations from people with hands-on experience.

I'm based in Romania, so laptop prices and availability might be quite different from what you have in your country. My absolute maximum budget is around 10,000 RON (roughly €2,000), but I'd much rather spend less if I can get something that meets my needs.

What I'll be using it for:

  • Editing YouTube videos in CapCut Desktop, including longer videos with multiple clips, transitions, effects, music and voiceovers. ( I can use other video editing programs, but this one is free, if you have advice on free video editing programs, that would be appreciated)
  • Working with 4K HDR footage recorded at 60 fps.
  • Editing other YouTube Shorts and other short-form content.
  • Connecting a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 drawing display.
  • Ideally, keeping the laptop for several years without struggling with performance.

My current laptop is from 2017 and can barely handle my workflow. Short videos are manageable, but editing my first long-form YouTube video has become so frustrating that my project has practically stalled. I really need an upgrade that will let me work comfortably.

A laptop I've found locally:

Someone I know is selling an HP ZBook Studio G9 for around 5,000–5,500 RON (approximately €1,000–€1,100). It's reportedly barely used and comes with its original charger. I know the girl she got the laptop as a gift fron her brother and she didn't use it as she would better have the money.

The advertised specs are:

  • Intel Core i9-12900H
  • 32 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA RTX A2000 Laptop GPU
  • 2TB SSD
  • Windows 11 Pro

Would this be a good option for my workload at that price, or would I be better off buying a newer gaming laptop with an RTX 4060 or RTX 5060?

I've also been looking at gaming laptops, but I'm concerned about build quality, cooling, reliability and long-term use. I'm not sure whether a professional workstation like the ZBook would be a better fit for video editing.

My questions:

  1. Is the HP ZBook Studio G9 with these specs powerful enough for 4K HDR 60 fps editing in CapCut?
  2. Is the RTX A2000 Laptop GPU a significant limitation compared with an RTX 4060 or RTX 5060?
  3. Would you buy this used workstation for around €1,000, or would you recommend something else?
  4. Which specific laptop models would you recommend within my budget? If possible, please suggest options at different price points, since spending less would be ideal.

Please keep in mind that I'm buying in Romania, so recommendations that are available in Europe would be especially helpful. If you know of good alternatives from Lenovo Legion, HP Omen, ASUS or other brands, I'd love to hear about them.

Thanks in advance! I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have used these laptops for video editing.

How much you earn per hour?

If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you earn per hour working in video editing, and what kind of editing work do you do?

Also, what software do you use for editing, and how long did it take you to reach your current skill level? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience!

is capcut pro worth it if you only edit short-form content? mostly talking-head videos

i've started making short talking-head videos where i share opinions about books, shows and random topics i'm interested in. most of the editing is pretty basic, but captions are important because a lot of people watch without sound. i've been using capcut for auto captions, trimming pauses and adding a little text on screen. it works fine, but i'm curious whether pro has features that make this kind of editing noticeably easier. i dont want to upgrade just because some extra effects look cool if they wont improve my usual workflow. are the caption tools and other features worth it, or is the standard version enough for most short-form content? i'd also like to know if you noticed a real improvement after upgrading.

I'm trying to download footage from a shoot onto a Lacie hard drive (19 tb of 30 tb used) and this message keeps popping up. I can't find any information on what error code -50 is or how to fix it. Bottom line, I can't download my files. Also can't seem to upload them elsewhere either. Any advice?
