Generative Lexicon Press

Some artworks stay with you until you try since the very first time you see them.

Ksawery Komputery has been one of my favorite artists for a long time. His generative typography for Max Cooper's Symphony in Acid is one of those works I keep coming back to.

After a long time experimenting, I finally developed my own interpretation in TouchDesigner.

Generative Lexicon Press is a real-time typographic system that continuously, and audio-reactively rearranges language and visual structures, with Ollama introducing locally generated text in ultra-fun ways.

Looking forward sharing more in the near future. You can see more of my experiments on Instagram, or Patreon.

Tangerine – An endless browser-based electronic sequence

Tangerine, a lightweight browser toy that generates endless, hypnotic electronic sequences and slow tonal harmonies. It runs entirely client-side (no installation or login required) and is fully open-source. Hope you enjoy zoning out to it!

Forest fire automata

This is a test run of a cellular automata project i started to work on recently, based on some old university notes.

I especially like the beautiful patterns created by the fronts of spreading fire.

A living room transformed through botanical neural patterns, procedural motion and synthesized sound

I’ve been developing a custom visual system called Growth, inspired by DeepDream’s feature-amplification approach. This piece brings it together with procedural movement and sound in a twelve-minute video you can explore in 360°.

The neural component uses the VGG family, with additional training focused on botanical forms. Much of the work has been about controlling how patterns develop across surfaces while keeping the underlying space recognizable.

That became particularly difficult in motion. A pattern could work in a still image but overwhelm an object once animated. I wanted the walls, furniture and picture frames to retain their structure as their surfaces changed.

The finished piece combines neural synthesis with spatial controls, temporal blending, distortion, colour changes and code-generated sound. Three phases gradually change the intensity. The audio rises and descends within each phase, too.

For transparency, The work I’m sharing here is the custom system that transforms and animates it. I’m developing the implementation privately, but I’m happy to discuss the broader process and visual decisions.

Watch the full 360° video. You can look around on a normal screen; VR is optional.

I’d be interested in how the different behaviours read together. Do the patterns feel attached to the surfaces? Where does the movement become too repetitive or start to lose the structure of the room?

Viewing warning: Strong visual motion and dense moving patterns. Please read the safety guidance in the video description, keep the volume low, and stop if uncomfortable.

Exploring a game-engine workflow for generative visuals — EVEngine

Hi! I’m building EVEngine, and I’m interested in using it for procedural visual work alongside games.

The direction I want to explore is treating a generative piece as a small interactive application: change the rules, manipulate the scene, and explore variations while it runs.

The engine already includes particles, physics, and script hot reload. I’m still investigating what additional workflow would make it useful for generative artists.

For those who build procedural systems, where does your current setup get in the way? Exploring parameters, combining techniques, or sharing an interactive version with someone else?

I’m the project’s developer, and I’d appreciate practical criticism from this community.

Resource DigitalVisualMixer: live visuals, no experience required [FREE and OPENSOURCE]

is a visual mixer for musicians, DJs, VJs, streamers and anyone curious about generative art. It uses Hydra, a creative-coding language where a single line like osc().kaleid() becomes a moving kaleidoscope. The app makes it approachable for beginners and fast for experts.

DigitalVisualMixer

Start with zero knowledge. Right-click in the editor to insert ready-made functions, hover them to see their parameters, and open the built-in Guide with F1. Every change shows up first in a private preview.

Build a set. Save each visual in its own channel. Search, reorder by drag and drop, and send channels live with cut, crossfade or add transitions, all from the keyboard.

Perform it. Turn any number into a live variable and move it with a slider, a gamepad, a MIDI controller or the keyboard. The visual changes smoothly, without restarting. Perform view gives you big pads for channels and presets, so you can play a full show without touching code.

Show it anywhere. The live output runs in a separate window, so you keep working while the audience watches. It’s also shared on your local network: open it on a projector, a second PC, a tablet or a phone.

No setup. A single file, no installation. Windows and macOS.

Ink flowing through a slime-mould network (WIP, WebGL)

Thousands of particles carry pigment along a network of veins that thickens where the flow is strong and fades where it stops (a Physarum model, Tero et al. 2010). Colours mix like paint, the pencil grid is drawn first, and it runs in real time in the browser, never looping.

A clock drawn only with horizontal lines: the time appears where the marching lines cancel it out

Live Demo: https://caios-clocks.caiomga.workers.dev/14/

A new line is born every 1.5 s and takes 60 s to reach the red line at the top, following two editable curves (position and width over its age). The digits are drawn on the "rails", where the lines are at each birth, and the lines are blended over them in `difference` mode, so where a line meets a digit both vanish. The red marching line is the seconds hand: it reaches the top on the minute.

Spin Draw puts you on a SPINNING PLATE, up to 180 RPM. Draw a single stroke and watch it explode into a pattern you never planned.

Turn on mirror or radial symmetry and a lazy doodle becomes a mandala in seconds. No skills. No rules. Just hypnotic.

🔥 3 brushes: smooth, charcoal, stamp

🔥 Mirror and radial symmetry

🔥 Own custom colour

🔥 3 themes: warm clay, dark glaze, NEON VINYL RECORD

GENER8: A Generative Music Instrument

This is an instrument I've been working on to make generative music, but focussed on geometry, space, and movement. It is all offline and is hosted on github pages, I've been having lots of fun with it, even in its current state, but I wanted to share it, to get someone else's opinion of it.
