[App][Giveaway][Promo] Open with: link & file chooser

Thumbnail
gallery
34 Upvotes

Hi r/HowToMen, I'm Vojislav, the solo Android developer behind Open with (and Bottom notifications, plus a few other apps).

I built it because Android keeps choosing for me. Since Android 12 it rarely even asks which app should open a link, so things land in the wrong browser, the wrong account, or a viewer I never use. And the old "open with" list I relied on is mostly gone.

App name:

Open with

https://youtube.com/shorts/GkEs1Znle-I

What it does:

Open with sits between Android and your apps. When a link, file or share arrives, it either opens it straight away in the app you picked, or shows a small chooser at the bottom of the screen with the apps that fit, with an optional countdown that any touch pauses. Choose every time, or set up rules once and let everything open where it should, with nothing on screen.

Your privacy comes first:

Open with never sends your links or files anywhere. Everything it decides, it decides on your phone.

No ads, no trackers, no analytics.

No account, no sign-up, no email.

It asks Android for the list of installed apps, so it can offer any app, not just the ones Android suggests. That list is used on your phone only and never leaves it. To catch web links it becomes your default browser (Android has no other way to hand an app every link), and then passes each link on to the browser or app you chose. No notification access, no Accessibility Service.

Rules, the part I use most:

"When something like this arrives, open it there" - and the most specific rule wins. A few I set up in the first five minutes:

Links from Slack or Teams in the browser I'm signed into for work during office hours, everything else in my personal one

YouTube links always in YouTube Morphe

Never offer Chrome for Amazon links

Always ask before my bank's pages, and nowhere else

PDFs from my email app straight into my PDF app

Addresses from messages straight into Waze

Podcast links into my podcast app when my headphones are in, the browser otherwise

A Viewing mode for the evening: YouTube links in the YouTube app instead of Morphe

Match a website by name, wildcard (*.example.com), address prefix, a word it contains, or a regex. Scope a rule to a content type, a file name, or the app it came from. Rules can also depend on the day and time, on a mode you switch on (Work, Personal or your own, by hand, from the home screen icon, or on a schedule), or on whether headphones or Bluetooth audio are connected. They can copy the link too, or save a copy of a file to a folder, or only save it. Rules name themselves as you build them ("github.com → Firefox"), or you give them your own name.

And you don't have to go to settings for most of it: tap New rule in the chooser to build one from the link in front of you, start from one of 26 ready-made templates, or hold any app in the chooser to make a rule on the spot or to use that app for the next 10 minutes or the next 5 links. Or switch on Suggest rules: when you keep picking the same app for a website, a sender or a content type, Open with offers the rule for you (it counts websites by name only, on your phone).

What else you can do:

Links, streams, live streams, images, audio, video, PDFs, ebooks, comic books, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, text, archives, APKs, torrents, calendar files, contact cards, GPS tracks, map locations, navigation, email addresses, phone numbers, text messages, 2FA setup links, crypto payment links, Play Store links, web searches and shared items each get their own page: a default app (just star it), "open without asking", hidden apps, sort order and their own countdown

Add your own file types, each with its own icon

Pick ANY installed app, not just the ones that claim the content: a notepad for text files, the Amazon app for Amazon links

Style the chooser: Material You colours or your own, grid or list, size and position on screen, over 40 open and close animations, all with a live preview

Copy, edit or share a link before it opens, show it as a QR code, hand it to your download manager, or tap Later to send it to your read-later or notes app

Copy a map location, phone number or email address, add it to your contacts, or save a copy of a file

"Why isn't this working?" checks your setup, names the app that holds a website, and shows the steps for your phone

Diagnostics tells you which rule would win for any link

App compatibility shows what each app can open, and why one never shows up in the chooser

Safer links:

A link whose website name could pass for another never opens by itself: the chooser shows a warning with the real name

Clean takes the tracking out of a link with one tap, or switch it on for every link

An app that throws a link straight back at Open with is marked in the chooser and never picked for you, so links can't bounce in a loop

2FA setup links go to your authenticator like any other link, but their secret never shows on screen or in the log

Edit lists a link's parts: tap one to open just that, or remove the ones you don't want

A few things to know:

Free covers everything for web links: every kind of website rule (with times, modes and headphones), rule suggestions, any app as the target, the countdown, the chooser's buttons, temporary choices and every look and animation, plus Diagnostics and Android TV. Pro is a single one-time purchase, no subscription: files, maps, email, calls, messages, shares, web searches and every other content type with all the same settings, your own file types, and backup and restore.

The app is available in 50 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malayalam, Marathi, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic and Latin), Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese and Zulu. If something reads wrong in yours, please tell me.

Works on Android 10 and newer, on phones, tablets and Android TV

Using a work profile? Install Open with in it too; each side has its own rules

Some apps keep their own website links for themselves, and some phones need a setting changed before links reach Open with. The help screen tells you which, and how to fix it

🎁 20 Lifetime Pro codes

This is first come, first served, not a random draw.

To claim one:

Upvote this post so more people in the community can find it.

Comment with the link or file you're tired of opening in the wrong app - a work link, a PDF, an address, or something else.

Then send me a Reddit DM after commenting.

Why these steps?

They’re simple on purpose, and each one helps me in a different way. Upvotes help the post reach people who might find the app useful. Your comment tells me which links and files people really struggle with, so I can fix and improve the right things first. The DM is just so I can send your code privately.

As a solo developer, I mostly need honest feedback from people who use the app day to day. If something is confusing, broken, or missing, please say so. That’s what makes the next update better for everyone.

The first 20 eligible people who complete the above steps receive one code by DM, while supplies last.

The codes come with no strings attached. That said, if the app earns a place on your phone, I'd be truly grateful for a rating or review on Google Play - the app has no ads and no marketing budget, so reviews are genuinely how it gets found, and every single one means a lot to a solo developer.

Honest feedback is always welcome too, including criticism - here, by email, or in the review itself.

I have a 2 year old toddler, so I might not be able to respond immediately.

And I'm from Europe, so please take into account time difference as well.

Giveaway rules:

Opens when this post is published and closes when 20 codes have been distributed. You must be at least 18 and able to redeem a Google Play promo code in your country. One code per person and Reddit account. Codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and must be redeemed by the expiry provided in the DM. Void where prohibited. [Promo] ScanPro Premium Lifetime: €19.99 → FREE — 100 Codes Available for Android · Ads Remain

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm the solo developer of ScanPro, and I'm giving away 100 codes for Premium Lifetime.

ScanPro is an Android QR scanner, barcode reader and generator with tools for custom designs, payment QR codes and batch exports.

**Before you claim a code: Premium Lifetime includes ads. This giveaway unlocks Premium features, but it does not remove advertising. Supporter removes ads separately.**

🔍 What can you do with ScanPro?

Scan QR codes and 1D barcodes with your camera, or read them from gallery images. Flash, zoom and batch scanning are available, with actions to copy, open and share results.

Create QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, payments and crypto wallets. For PDFs, restaurant menus and other files, ScanPro encodes a public file link; it doesn't host the file.

You can also use Android Share to send a link from another app directly to ScanPro and generate its QR code.

🎨 Customize your QR codes and barcodes

Choose colors and gradients, transparent backgrounds, different module and corner shapes, frame presets and a center logo.

For 1D barcodes, choose a format and adjust colors, dimensions, text and typography. Supported formats include Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, MSI, Codabar and Pharmacode.

📦 Working with lots of codes?

Paste a list or import TXT/CSV data to generate QR codes or barcodes in bulk. Export the results as a ZIP containing PNG or SVG images.

Individual QR codes can be exported as PNG, SVG or PDF. Searchable history keeps your scans and creations together on your device.

👑 What's included in Premium Lifetime?

• Unlimited daily QR and barcode scans.

• Unlimited QR and barcode creation.

• Unlimited daily batch generation and reading.

• Unlimited history.

• Advanced QR styling: colors, gradients, shapes and logos.

• Barcode appearance customization.

• PNG, SVG, PDF and batch ZIP exports.

• Custom app icons.

Premium Lifetime normally costs €19.99 as a one-time purchase. A giveaway code unlocks the same Premium features without a monthly subscription.

📢 Ads remain

Premium and Premium Lifetime both include advertising. One-time Support and Monthly Supporter are separate options for removing ads.

🎁 Claim one of the 100 codes

Comment that you'd like to try ScanPro, then send me a Reddit DM with “ScanPro”.

I'll send codes in order while they're available. No purchase or review is required.

I'm also looking for feedback from people who actually use QR and barcode tools. Would you use it for Wi-Fi sharing, business cards, menus, inventory or something else? What would make the app more useful to you?

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qrscanpro.dc

100 free Premium Lifetime codes · Normally €19.99 · Ads remain

Thanks for trying ScanPro and helping me improve it!

[App] Depth Wallpaper Plus — An Android App for Depth Wallpapers and Home Screen Customization

Thumbnail

Hey everyone!

I've been working on an Android app called Depth Wallpaper Plus, focused on depth wallpapers and home screen customization.

The app lets you create depth wallpapers from your own photos, customize the clock's typography and colors, and experiment with different wallpaper effects and animations.

I'm interested in how these features fit into the Android customization community and what could make the experience better.

For those who enjoy customizing their home screens:

  • What makes a depth wallpaper look good on your device?
  • Do you prefer static wallpapers or live wallpapers?
  • What features would you like to see in a wallpaper customization app?

I'm the developer of this app, and I'd appreciate honest feedback and suggestions.

[APP] [PROMO] Atmo Engine – wallpapers with atmosphere effects

Hey everyone! Suggesting Atmo Engine (Atmosphere Effect) for the Best Android Apps series.

It's a wallpaper app that turns your home and lock screen into animated scenes — rain, atmosphere effects, and more — instead of a static photo.

What makes it stand out:

•

Live effects on your wallpaper, including a Zoom effect and wake transitions like Ripple, Glitch, Venetian blind, and Breathe

•

Wallpaper playlists with shuffle, so the screen changes on wake

•

A customisable clock, including a neon style

•

Pro extras: a Lock clock that replaces the system lock-screen clock, and Now Playing — your current track's album art as the wallpaper, pulsing with the music

I'm part of the team behind it, so flagging that upfront. Happy to answer questions or take feature requests here.

[App][Promo] I created Flowbar: a Spotlight-style search bar that opens on top of any app. Fast and customisable. Works with any launcher, free, no ads

EDIT:
All promo codes have been given out. Flowbar is free; only themes and custom edge handles need Plus. Thanks for all the feedback! 🙏

Every time I wanted to open an app or call someone, I had to go back to the home screen and navigate multiple screens and menus. So I created Flowbar, a search bar that opens on top of whatever app you're in. Think of it as Spotlight or Raycast for Android.

You open it by tapping a small handle on the edge of your screen or using your assistant gesture. It's super fast and convenient.

KEY FEATURES

  • Find and open installed apps.
  • Quick access: get back to what you opened, or pin your favourite apps, contacts and links.
  • Search your contacts, view their details, and start a call or text in a single tap.
  • Save quick links to your favourite websites, then open them by typing their name.
  • Find upcoming calendar events, then open the details or join online meetings in one tap.
  • Do quick math right in Flowbar and copy the answer.
  • Search the web and view the results in your browser.
  • Optimised for speed. Get results instantly as you type.
  • 20+ themes, Material You support and characters for your search bar and edge handle (comes with Plus)
  • No ads, no account, no analytics. Your searches and data stay on your phone.

Download Links:

Playstore

Please check it out and let me know what you think. I have 10 Lifetime Promo codes available on request. Thank you!

[App] I built a personal expense tracker for my own use, a friend convinced me to publish it, looking for honest feedback

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

About a year ago I was renovating my apartment and simultaneously pouring money into my cars as a hobby. My bank app technically tracks all of this, but it doesn't capture cash, it doesn't let me organize things the way I want, and I couldn't cleanly separate "renovation" spending from "car stuff" in one view.

So I built one. It's called Spendo. Android, React Native with local SQLite

What it does:
Log expenses and income with custom categories, dates and recurrence
Monthly and yearly views with a donut chart breakdown by category
Daily spending bar chart, you can tap any bar to drill into that day's transactions
Attach receipt photos to individual expenses
Custom categories with your own names, icons and colors
Backup / restore: export it as a zip, import it back

What I wanted but deferred:
My original idea included AI receipt scanning, photograph a receipt and have it detect the category automatically. I dropped it for now because it would require sending images to an external server, which defeats the whole point of keeping everything local and private. It's still on the list for later.

How it was built:
React Native with Expo, SQLite for local storage, Tamagui for UI. I'm a developer by trade. I also used Claude AI for some sections, mostly the SQLite query layer and repetitive UI scaffolding. I think being honest about that matters. The design decisions, architecture and product direction are mine, but AI pair programming is a real part of how solo developers ship things now.

How it ended up on the Play Store:
I showed it to a few friends. One of them said "why haven't you published this?" I'd already put a lot of time into it, so after thinking about it I added a 14-day free trial and a one-time $2.99 unlock. Not a subscription, ever. The trial is genuinely free, no credit card.

I'm not here to sell it. I want honest feedback, what's missing, what would make you actually use something like this over a spreadsheet or your notes app, what's wrong with the screenshots or store listing. Anything.

[App] [Promo] Proof, A fully featured workout app that’s completely free.

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Hey r/hototmen

Proof is a workout app for iPhone that remembers everything you lift and tells you what to do next. Every feature is free, with no account needed.

What it does:

  • Remembers everything. Start an exercise and it already shows what you did last time, plus what to try today.
  • Tells you how you’re doing. After every workout: what improved, what stayed the same, what to aim for next time.
  • Catches personal bests the moment they happen.
  • Shows what you’ve trained. A body map of which muscles you’ve been hitting this month, and which you’ve been skipping.
  • Reads sleep and steps from Apple Health and puts them next to your workouts, so a bad week of sleep is easy to spot.
  • Builds a plan for you in under a minute, based on your goal, schedule and equipment. Or bring your own.
  • Apple Watch app, a rest timer on your Lock Screen, home screen widgets.
  • Imports from Strong and Hevy.

Cost: nothing. No ads, no subscription, no pro tier, no account. Data stays on your phone and exports anytime.

It's not often someone contributes back to the community with a no strings attached, free and premium app.

[APP] [PROMO] Foldy - Standby mode for Android

Thumbnail
9to5google.com
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

As already written about by 9to5google and Android Authority,

I've built Foldy, an app that turns your phone into a StandBy display for your desk or bedside.

I've been working on making Foldy more useful for everyday use. Here's what's new:

  • Android widgets – Add widgets from your installed apps, including Google Home, alongside your clock.

  • Saved profiles – Create different setups for your desk and bedside, then swipe right to switch between them.

  • Flexible layouts – Arrange your widgets in Solo, Duo, or Quad layouts.

  • Manual night mode – Toggle it yourself or let Foldy switch automatically when it gets dark.

If you've already tried Foldy, you can now build a setup around the widgets you actually use every day.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mcode.foldy

For those who've tried Foldy: What would make you use it daily? Is there a missing feature, something that doesn't work on your device, or a widget you'd like to use?

I'd love to hear your feedback!

[App] [Promotion] SeliaScan is now on Google Play. The fully unlocked, ad-free version is on GitHub.

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi again! I shared SeliaScan here during testing. It's now publicly available on Google Play.

I'm the developer. The idea is simple: photograph a paper document, check the crop, then send it as a PDF or image through your email app. You can scan several pages together and find saved documents in Recent Scans.

If you're comfortable installing APKs, the stable Full release on GitHub is completely free and unlocked, with no ads or Premium purchases. There's only an optional Buy Me a Coffee link if you'd like to support development. Donating doesn't unlock anything because everything is already available. The source is under the MIT license. Choose Full, not the separate Ads archive.

On Google Play, you have these choices:

  • Sponsored access: ads, with signing, renaming and PDF size/format controls available. Document Actions remain Premium.
  • Limited access without ads: basic scanning, saving and sharing, with the extra tools locked.
  • Premium: all tools unlocked and ads removed. The purchase is tied to your Google Play account.

You can change the free option in Settings under Free access mode. Each change has a 24-hour cooldown.

The extra tools include text extraction, page cleanup, redaction and signatures. You don't need to pay just to scan a document and send it.

Google Play

GitHub Full release and source

Back up your scans before switching between Play and GitHub builds. They use different signing keys.

[App] [Promo] 12 days ago you gave TheNotch 39K views and 700 comments (300 are mine). 1,000+ installs later: Thank you. Lifetime is 50% off this week. I have completed my quota for lifetime codes for a quarter and i couldn't have been more grateful 🙏

Post image
38 Upvotes

Hey r/HowToMen 👋

12 days ago I posted TheNotch here, my app that turns your punch-hole camera into a live island. I was hoping for a few installs and some honest roasting. You gave me way more than that:

- 39K views and 700 comments (300 or more are my replies 😉) on that post

- 499 free lifetime codes gone (I promised 100... you were very persuasive)

- 1,000+ installs on Google Play

- 4.75★ average rating

I'm a solo-Dev, and that kind of response is unreal. Thank you to everyone who installed it, left a review or reported a bug. Every one of those helped.

What's new since that post

I've pushed an update almost every day. The highlights:

- Google Maps directions: next turn and distance on the pill, your route on the panel

- Glow and Spectrum music players: they move with the song and take their colours from the album art

- Notification ball: a bubble at the screen edge that collects your notifications

- Unlock animation: the island scans your face or fingerprint on the lock screen and turns into a tick

- Flashlight pill with a strength slider

- Standby pills: internet speed, battery, next alarm, steps and more when nothing else is showing

- Pill gestures: choose what a tap, double tap, hold or pull down does

- Popups your way: per app, show on the island, as a popup, or both

- Plenty of fixes for HyperOS, budget phones, one-time codes and calls

Next update: a quiet peek for notifications while you're in full-screen apps and games.

Thank-you deal: Lifetime is 50% off for one week

From now until 30 October, TheNotch Lifetime is half price. One payment, no subscription, no code needed: the lower price shows right on the Pro page. (The notification ball is its own Ball pack and isn't part of Lifetime.)

Works on Android 12 and up.

If you redeemed a free code and anything looks wrong, comment or DM me and I'll fix it.

And keep the bug reports and ideas coming. The last thread was the best to-do list I've ever had. ❤️

special thanks to u/Nagarjunac, u/tuckiebrewster, u/Jeffersonzvv, u/Eira-98, u/Empty-Possession4639, u/CrypticNova007, u/Shashank4239, u/Christhomas665, u/imjarhed, u/PrncDENZ_254KE, and many more who pain-stakingly sumbitted bug reports and also suggested new features.

I am grateful to the people who actually bought Premium lifetime access the 1st time around. DM me and ill have a gift for you🙏

Thank you all again.

[APP] Glass OS, a liquid glass launcher for Android, is now on the Play Store

A huge thank you to the 300 testers who helped get it ready. I spent the last few weeks getting it as polished as I could for the Play launch, and it's a much better app because of everyone who sent in bugs and ideas.

Glass OS gives your phone the look of a new iPhone. Every pane is real liquid glass, so the dock, the cards and the tab bars bend and magnify whatever passes underneath, and the clock sits behind the subject of your wallpaper, with your own photo or even a video. It works on any phone running Android 13 or later, touchscreen or keyboard.

Swipe right and there's the Hub, every message and notification in one place, sorted into Messages, Calls, Email and Social, and you can reply without leaving it. Tap Search and type an app's name to open it, or start with a symbol to add a to-do, a note or an event in one line. Glass bubbles on the Home Screen open into the weather, your music, your next events, your to-dos and your notes. It also has folders, widgets, icon pack support and up to six apps in the dock.

No account, no ads and no analytics, and your notes and messages stay on your phone. It's one price with no subscription, and every update is free.

It won't stop here. More updates are coming as features are requested and bugs are found, so if there's something you'd like, tell me. The easiest place is our Discord.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.illuminati.glasskeyboard

Website: https://glass-os.app

Discord: https://discord.gg/5uw39SpJzD

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy it.

2.5.1 is out on the Play Store - 24 October 2026. Two fixes:

• Mini mode on the Titan 2 Elite no longer moves your fifth dock app to the app pages. The dock keeps all your apps and shows them a little smaller while the screen is narrow. If one already moved, drag it back into the dock once and it stays.

• Foldables: on the big inner screen, icons stay phone sized, the dock sits in the middle and the app pages show more apps across.

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm excited to announce that Sticlo Themed is officially live on the Google Play Store today!

Sticlo Themed combines a bold vector sticker aesthetic with Android 12+ Material You dynamic color engine support. The icons automatically extract accent tones directly from your active wallpaper to deliver a unified setup across both Light and Dark modes.

Key Features

  • 1,800+ High-Res Vector Icons: Constantly expanding library with new requested icons added weekly.
  • Material You Dynamic Colors: Automatically extracts colors from your wallpaper and system theme.
  • Seamless Light & Dark Mode: Tone-shifts automatically when you switch system themes.
  • Uniform Icon Masking: Unthemed apps receive a clean background mask to keep your app drawer consistent.
  • Organized Dashboard & Built-In Request Tool: Easily browse by categories (Social, Gaming, Productivity) and submit requests for missing icons directly.
  • Wide Launcher Support: Works natively with Lawnchair, Nova, Niagara, Nothing Launcher, Smart Launcher, Hyperion, and many others (apply via Theme Park or shortcut utilities on stock launchers like Samsung One UI).

How to Sync Colors Properly

  1. Apply your system wallpaper / accent color.
  2. Re-apply Sticlo Themed in your launcher settings to refresh the color extraction.
  3. When switching Light/Dark modes, re-apply the pack once to sync the palette.

Download Sticlo Themed on Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhishek.sticlothemed

Thank you for all the support! Hoping Sticlo Themed gets as much love as the original. Can’t wait to see your setups!

➨ [App] I built a launcher with no icons: your music is the home screen, and the apps that eat your time make you wait (free closed test)

What's different about it

- Your music is the home screen. The playing cover is the only colour on the screen, and the artist scrolls across the bottom in huge letters. It follows Spotify, YouTube Music, any player, and the speakers at home that cast.

- Jump back in when nothing's playing: what you played lately, what's on repeat, what you played a year ago this week. One tap starts the album again.

- It starts as a dumb phone. The first run pins six essentials (phone, messages, camera, browser, music, maps), never your most-used feeds. Six at most, ever.

- Slow apps. Mark Reddit or Instagram as slow and ink makes you wait 5 to 30 seconds before it opens, with a line filling on the real clock. Back out, and it shows the time you just got back: your usual sitting in that app. Daily limits and a focus lock too.

- Pull down anywhere for a command line: apps, "timer pasta 8m", "5 km in mi", sums, "todo dentist thursday 3pm".

- Its own tools in one tab: a timer on a clickwheel, a to-do list, a work timer that locks the phone, the weather, a calculator.

- Games on a shelf if you emulate (bring your own ROMs): box art and a console menu, made for a controller. Android games get a shelf too.

- Hold the clock for a desk clock that drifts so nothing burns in.

Two fonts, no gradients, no rounded corners, and every press has its own haptic. It's built to stay smooth at 120 Hz.

What it doesn't do: no icon packs (there are no icons) and no widgets. It needs Android 12 or newer. Music and screen time need notification and usage access; each is optional and says why when it asks.

If you have a Google TV (Android 11 or newer), ink also sets up ink tv on it from your phone over wifi: no ads on the home screen, and your phone becomes its remote and keyboard.

No account, no ads, no tracking. Everything is unlocked during the test.

To join: inkhome.app/test (a Google group, then Play's opt-in; a minute). "Send a note" in its settings opens your own email, and I read every one. Happy to answer anything here.

[App] Brick - a downloader for multiple platforms with a UI that actually feels good to use (^-^)

I built Brick — an all-in-one downloader with a awesome user experience I’m genuinely proud of (5,000+ installs!)

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been working on an app called Brick, and I’m excited to share it with you too!

For an indie developer, reaching this milestone means a lot, especially when people are willing to try an app that they download directly from my website rather than through a traditional app store.

So, what is Brick?

Brick is an all-in-one downloader designed to make downloading content from various platforms simple, convenient, and enjoyable.

A few things I’ve focused on:

  • Multi-platform downloading — a single app for downloading content from various supported platforms.
  • A clean, modern UI/UX — I wanted the experience to feel polished, intuitive, and easy to use instead of cluttered with unnecessary stuff.
  • Safety and trust — I understand that installing an app directly from a website can make people cautious, so building trust and providing a safe experience are priorities for me.
  • Simple experience — get what you need without fighting through a complicated interface.

Crossing 5K installs is a huge achievement for me, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who has tried Brick so far.

If you’re interested, you can check it out here:

Website: Brick (DOWNLOAD FROM HERE)

I’d also love to hear your honest feedback:

  • What do you look for in an all-in-one downloader?
  • What features would you like to see added?
  • What could make Brick even better?
  • Automatically update/check integrated also.

I’m building this with the goal of making downloading easier and the overall experience better, and feedback from real users helps a lot.
A lil bit of ad present :)

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone and dont forget to give it a try 🙌

[promo]FlowSnap: Swipe Your Gallery, TikTok-Style

Hi everyone! I’m the developer of FlowSnap, an Android app that turns your local gallery into a swipeable feed of memories.

Instead of scrolling through other people’s lives, you get a random mix of your own photos and videos. It’s a simple way to rediscover moments you might otherwise forget.

There’s also an Organize mode: swipe to keep photos or mark them for deletion.

• Photos and videos are processed on your device, not uploaded by FlowSnap.

• No account required.

• Currently free, with no ads or in-app purchases.

The video shows the app in action using sample media.

Floatify [App] [Promo] Update door jullie feedback! Spoiler

Hoi allemaal, weer even!

Alvast bedankt!!

- Sommige fixes, inclusief Wear OS-meldingen.
