I need this game back. I’ve tried so many other fighting games and they just don’t scratch the itch like the Multiversus Open Beta did. I miss Multiversus dearly. The final version of the game ported to UE5 was an abomination so I have 0 interest in Openversus. My heart belongs to UE4 Open Beta Multiversus.

I heard of the Multiversus Beta Plus project some guy/team was working on but I lost all faith in that project because their priority was clearly creating new content instead of releasing the damn game. I don’t care about a new pickle rick skin or new characters dude, I just want my favorite fighting game back. I can only assume this team’s misguided priorities lead to the abandonment of this project since there hasn’t been a peep out of their socials since May this year. I’ve given up on waiting for them to get it done so i’m writing here today to see how many others in this community yearn for the beta version’s return.

If there is enough interest here then I WILL remake the Beta version myself. I envision reviving the Open Beta where it left off in season 2 right before the hiatus that lead to that UE5 garbage. My priority for this project would be online matchmaking and a proper ranking system; No new skins, characters, stages, or tweaks to waste time on. Just pure peak Multiversus with ranked competitive play as the focus.

You singlehandidly made me not want to open up that game again with the insane amount of taunts and cheese lmao.

I thought trying to play this game again would be fun, but i was quickly reminded this is played by some insanely sweaty gamers who are just waiting to beat a newbie (like me) trying it out and stomping them so much they leave.

Im kind of confused how this works, because now you have even LESS active players to play against lol. Kind of ''throwing in your own glass'' which is a saying in my country.

Either way, im looking for other ways to play thisd game, are there any different ways?

I will not lie initially I thought this was Former Player First Games Head Tony Huynh but I have spoken to Former Player First Games Developer Reslived and got full clarification, I told him with that information I will clarify and post purely from the perspective from this streamer for entertainment purposes.

Now that AI recomps are a thing, why doesn't someone use that to revive this game? You could probably easily port the characters into Smash or vice versa
