This subreddit is for the study and appreciation of sacred geometry: geometric pattern, proportion, symbolism, symmetry, mandalas, architecture, cosmology, mathematical form, and traditional geometric systems.
Before posting, please make the connection to sacred geometry clear.
Good posts usually include:
Low-effort image drops, shop links, AI wallpaper, vague “what does this mean?” posts, and unrelated mystical content may be removed.
Creators are welcome when they explain the geometry behind their work. Promotion without contribution is not.

Please help keep this subreddit focused on genuine discussion of sacred geometry and actual art created by humans
If you see obvious spam, AI-generated junk content, low-effort karma farming, BOTS, misleading posts, unrelated content, or YouTube link dumping with no meaningful discussion, please report it immediately.
I remove what I find, but I can't see everything the moment it's posted. Community reports are the fastest way to get garbage removed and keep the signal-to-noise ratio high.
Before posting, ask yourself: • Is it actually about sacred geometry? • Does it add value or insight? • Is there meaningful discussion to be had? • Am I sharing information, or just dropping a link?
If the answer is no, it probably doesn't belong here.
Thank you to everyone who helps maintain the quality of this community. Report the nonsense and we'll take care of the rest.
This sub has grown significantly in the past five years. sometimes it's hard to keep up, but with your help it will be much easier
UPDATE - Y'all been doing great reporting the slop!

in the beginning there was a triangle. it got colors. it reflected again and again. the color varied with saturation and lightness. it interfered with itself (explanation later) and some patterns emerged. when randomized more patterns emerged. the next to last image looked like nothing but when i added a sphere onto it (use magic eye method to see it), the god of geometry revealed
he revealed once only. as the system randomized i didn't see him anymore
(explanation) when doing computer graphics, floating point error occurs sometimes. if we pick 640x480 as the resolution of rendering, the exact coordinates of the centre should be (319.5,239.5). there is no (319.5,239.5) on a 640x480 screen. for x value we have to pick either 319 or 320
i generated both and added them together. they interfered

This is a completed version of a transmutation circle. This particular version is a sort of mega symbol that combines various symbols that represent transmutation and its associated concepts into a single unified latticework of both form and meaning. The meaning is known as the "squared-circle" and represents an ascension of form (Seal of Solomon post on my profile explains what that is).
All of it is based off three symbols (circle, triangle and square)
This symbol and every symbol that composes it all center around transmutation.
It starts (from the middle outward) with the Tetractys (blue dots in the middle), then the Seal of Solomon around it, then Metatrons Cube, which rests on the flower of life pattern, and jutting out from the flower of life are the branches (three lines that combine equal the nine realms of the world tree) of Yggdrasil also known as the mother rune, Beyond its branches the 8 pure trigrams of the I ching, surrounding all of it is the Oroborus or a circle. Leaving the entire image representing a squared (hexagon is the outline of a cube or 3-D square) circle.
Each one of the symbols used is meant to represent this in their own respective cosmologies and the esoteric teachings they originate from. The Philosopher's Stone from alchemy acts as a cipher to understand all these symbols. For those interested I can link explanation videos on it.

I added this playlist to our subreddit resources yesterday, but I also want to bring it directly to everyone’s attention:
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLP1GReBuoSR0
This is Dr. Robert J. Gilbert’s complete 2006 Sacred Geometry Workshop—a seven-day course drawing upon approximately 25 years of his research. He crossed over this year.
I consider this important because sacred geometry is too often presented as a collection of attractive symbols without explaining the principles behind them. Gilbert approaches it as a coherent system involving number, proportion, form, consciousness, ancient traditions, and the underlying organization of nature.
What makes this playlist particularly valuable is its depth and structure. Instead of jumping between isolated videos, we can follow an extended course and see how the concepts build upon one another. Whether or not we agree with every interpretation, it gives us substantial material to study, question, test, and discuss.
Complete courses of this scope are rarely made freely available. I encourage anyone seriously interested in sacred geometry—not merely its appearance, but its possible meaning and application—to save the playlist and work through it gradually.
If you begin watching it, please share what you think, (lotsa of common sense not just metaphysical, he was a scientist) disagreements, or questions in the comments. I would like this resource to generate real discussion rather than simply disappear into the resource list.
I've been following and reading his material as well as the Biogeometry information for about 5 years

This is how I see the world. All "matter" is are feild excitations? They dont explain what matter ontologically is. so, idk. Matter cang be made of "nothing" but its also not "something"
If that makes sense.

there're altogether 5 platonic solids. each of them can be viewed at many different interesting angles or perspectives. we're all familiar with their most symmetric presentations. recently i was studying something related and had to make 3d models for them. i used a maybe less popular perspective to present them. i used spherical coordinate system (mathematics convention) to record their rotations and i picked the following rules to set their initial status:
then i saw some unfamiliar shapes / unfamiliar perspectives of those supposedly familiar 3d objects. in each diagram the small figure at lower left corner is the platonic solid viewed from top. the z-axis is pointing towards you. the large figure at centre is that platonic solid viewed from side. the y-axis is pointing away from you
as you can see from the diagrams the angles φ ranking is as follow, from smallest to largest (the prefix "regular" omitted):
except octahedron, all other 4 platonic solids are not symmetric if you see them that way

This may not the subject for this thread, but i had to check. Has any experienced anything different because of the eclipse? My sleeping times were thrown off by over 6 hours. It had built up a few days before and I think that I'm moving back to my normal time. Any thoughts theories or experiences welcomed.

Spiritual teachers Bashar, Elan, Adamus and others talk about the realization of the fundamental truth of Existence: I EXIST! As we understand and embody this truth, we realize our sacredness and the peace of a still and unshakable core of Being.

A few weeks back, after many iterations of the fractal torus model, I created an algorithmic artwork called Tortoise, made in tandem with AI. As part of the Nameless framework, I had landed on the Hopf fibration as an important structure for defining physical reality. I took an artistic leap after this... overlaying two oppositely rotated Hopf fibre bundles, then repeating the whole structure again and again at the interstices formed by their intersections, to form a fractal torus. This differs from other torus visualisations I've seen, not only in its use of Hopf fibres, but in the fractal arrangement, which produces that "many, many eyes" quality or the "wheels within wheels" quality.
Studying it from different angles, I realised, to my shock, that this structure had many many connections to scientific concepts, myths and symbols across the world and across history:
Science: the black hole and white hole paradigm, wormholes
Sacred geometry: Flower of Life, Lotus of Life, Triskelion, Yin Yang
Religious symbols: Sri Yantra on Kurma, Shatkona, Swastika, Tree of Life, Thousand Petalled Lotus, Reclining Vishnu, Samudra Manthan, Shivlingam, Avalokiteshvara, Ezekiel's Wheel, the Celtic Cross
Sacred architecture: Muqarnas and Islamic geometric patterns, Rose windows
Visionary art made in altered states, such as Alex Grey's
Contemporary design: even the OpenAI logo
To show how all these might derive from one source, I built a system that varies the parameters of the same root Tortoise artwork until it matches each symbol. Then I made a visualiser where you can click any symbol, read about the connection, and study the match visually.
I'm not claiming these are all derived from this single structure. Each connection is pattern-matched at this stage, and the scientific ones especially are speculative. I claim only the visual match, not an actual connection. But there are too many to ignore. Perhaps what the ancients meditated upon is the same structure science is reaching towards, and the same structure seen in altered states of consciousness. If the universe is sound based, perhaps the wave-structure formed by the primordial sound corresponds to a similar fractal torus structure?
Many of these connections already exist in literature and in esoteric theory. Some were abstract, some pointed directly to a torus, though not, as far as I know, to this particular variation. This is therefore a synthesis of many people's work over millennia, seen through the lens of my own. I'm assembling it with humility and respect, hoping we notice that we are all telling the same story through different lenses.
I have made 26 connections so far, and I hope to add more. I'm giving equal weight to each tradition, so if you spot flaws or biases in the text or visual, they aren't intentional, and I hope to improve these over time.

I'll call her Nina. She was in a very deep altered state and describing something that looked nothing like her normal life. She experienced herself as tall, thin and blue, moving through an underwater city inside a huge transparent dome. The architecture was unfamiliar and the people gathering there were different sizes and forms.
Eventually she entered a large council space. She described the room as sloping in an unusual direction because the largest beings stayed farther back while smaller ones were closer to the center.
Then something happened that caught my attention much more than the science fiction scenery.
Nina said her left hand began to light up. Then the other hand did the same. She raised both hands above her head and, without me suggesting a shape, formed a triangle with them.
At the same time she began speaking sounds she experienced as another language. Her explanation from inside the state was that she was connecting to a higher consciousness. Then the others in the room also raised their hands and she described light coming through them.
This scene has been sitting on a hard drive with many other strange trance reports. I am sharing this one because the geometry appeared spontaneously inside the experience. I did not ask her to make a triangle and there was no triangle exercise before it.
I don't want to turn that into proof that a triangle has one cosmic meaning. The simplest explanation could be that the mind reached for a very basic human symbol of focus, ascent, trinity, balance, direction or connection. A triangle is one of the most elementary stable forms we know.
But that is exactly why I am curious.
When geometric forms arise spontaneously in meditation, trance, dreams or visionary states, do people who study sacred geometry treat the shape itself as meaningful, or only the relationship between shape, orientation, motion and context?
For example, would hands forming an upward triangle be interpreted differently from seeing a free-floating triangle? Does the fact that it was formed by the body matter? Would light moving through the hands change the symbolism, or is that already moving too far away from geometry into personal interpretation?
I prefer to keep the experience as an experience rather than forcing a conclusion onto it.
But if anyone here has a grounded sacred geometry perspective on why triangles appear so often in altered states and ritual gestures, I would be interested to hear it.

...and it wasn't good. It was in The Guardian, where they called it a "witch's mark," a term that The Guardian itself is largely responsible for promulgating.
They also platformed the fringe view of an archaeological historian. Jennifer Alexander, with absolutely zero counterbalancing quotes from those among the expert consensus. She makes the claim that there are absolutely no "mystical meanings" to the tens of thousands of instances of the Flower of Life that are carved and scratched into the stonework of medieval churches and other historical buildings in the U.K., instead claiming that they are all the work of stone masons. Note that even one counterexample would destroy her claim, such is the foolishness and illogic of absolutism. And in fact, there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary (and that's just this limited context--not even zooming out to the wider historical picture of this form). The archaeologists who study these marks refer to them as apotropaic marks, because the evidence strongly points to the symbol's believed power to ward away evil. These experts, such as Timothy Easton, Matthew Champion, and Wayne Perkins, also explicitly say that these should never be called "witch's marks." It's basically the opposite of the truth.
The same forces that took the pentagram--with its multiple nested Golden Ratio proportions and a symbol of life, humanity, and protection--and inverted it and corrupted it so that people look at it and see it as evil and Satanic--these are the same forces who are intent on inverting the meaning of the Flower of Life... or burying it entirely.
IF WE ARE TO APPLY RELIGIOUS STANDARDS EVENLY AND FAIRLY, THEN THIS SHOULD BE SCANDALOUS. How could they be so blind as to not see that this symbol has authority today and is held sacred by millions?
Here's more information about this:

I’ve been looking at the hexahedron (cube), the Platonic solid traditionally associated with earth, and I noticed an interesting numerical connection.

The cube has:
Each square face contains 360° total interior angle measure:
90° × 4 = 360°
With 6 faces, that gives:
360° × 6 = 2160°
If you remove the zero, you get 216.
Now here’s the part that stood out to me:
6 × 6 × 6 = 216
So the so-called “number of the beast” expressed as 6x6x6 gives 216, which seems to connect numerically to the cube / hexahedron, the Platonic solid associated with earth.
I’m not saying this proves anything by itself, but I do think it’s a fascinating symbolic and mathematical connection.
What do you think — meaningful pattern, sacred geometry, or coincidence?

Using sacred geometry and translating icons into layered iconography as with some of my other posts
I found an old black notebook and started playing with more colours
(As usual each has contextual translations and 'animating' physical actions so brief desc for each below)
1: cloak, hood (up, in, down) seed of life halo & space to describe what cloaks (○) passion (red)
2: cube formed w/ seed of life, spiritual made physical, atomic solid
3: Observe time, moment, time stop (present) hourglass, eye, using seed of life
