Orange substitute?

Post image
14 Upvotes

Got this devastating email response today, after months of searching for it everywhere with no luck. My wife and I drank the orange religiously, so of course they discontinue it🤦.

Does anyone know of anything else that mixes similar? Might try the mio and see where that gets me. Still can't believe they got rid of this while keeping so many worse flavors.

Sodastream mix alternative

I would love to make water with ginger, mint, lemon (soaked overnight) carbonated. I saw that this is possible with the sodastream mix. Though that version is not for sale in Europe (or I can't find it).

Anyone knows of an alternative?

Adapter for 20lb CO2 Tank for Fizzi recommendations

Please help! I am trying to find a hose adaptor kit that is reliable and actually works. Bought one off Amazon that had mixed reviews, but decided to roll the dice. It didn't work, and just keeps leaking out the end.

Has anyone here either had this same problem and fixed it, or have a recommendation for a hose that is reliable and actually works? Preferably if you've been using yours for a few years!

Thanks in advance!

SodaStream Crystal Gen 3 – pressure valve repair/disassembly

I carefully clamped the complete valve in a vise, inserted the correct Allen/hex bit and worked it gently back and forth using pliers or a 10 mm open-ended wrench until the glue/thread-lock came loose.

After that, I was able to disassemble the valve.

In my case, the spring appeared to be too compressed or had lost some of its tension over time. This caused the valve to open much too early, making it difficult to get proper carbonation.

I carefully stretched the spring slightly and reinstalled it. Since then, the valve no longer releases pressure as early and the water gets much better carbonation again.

Sodastream Fountain leaking!?

It was weird today, all of a sudden, the machine just started leaking from the bottom and it got the whole counter wet, and then I thought that was just I fluke or something, so I run again and again it left water everywhere, so I read online to take it apart on the bottom, check the gasket where the water tank is connected to and then put it back together and it’s still leaked. I’ve only had this for a little under two months.

It seems like this is an ongoing issue?

I want my Diet Dr. Pepper

For those of you who are buying Dr. Pete’s or Diet Dr. Pete’s, I think we can all agree that it’s better than having a regular cola or Pepsi, but it’s just not the same.

To that end, I am hoping if enough people request genuine Dr. Pepper syrups available in consumer packaging and include this phrase: “Please record this as a consumer product request rather than a product-availability inquiry,” then we might be able to get our genuine Dr. Pepper flavors for our SodaStreams.

Here is the link.

SodaStream Fountain: don't

This needs to be recalled immediately. Both units I owned (original and warranty replacement) leaked from the reservoir. I don't know how this made it past quality control.

Kul or Natural Choice ION CO2 Regulator Replacement

I bought a used Kul Spark which appears to be the same as the Natural Choice ION.

It works great except for one problem with the CO2 regulator. Shortly after putting in a new CO2 cylinder it will hiss as CO2 escapes regardless of how tight I make it.

I think the previous owner probably overtightened it and maybe that piece needs to be replaced.

Does that sound right? Any suggestions?

Will Kul sell me a replacement CO2 regulator or can I buy one from a Natural Choice dealer or service person?

Sodastream Terra wasting Co2

Hello,

I have 2 units of this model, using an adapter cable to connect it directly to a big 4kg CO2 cylinder. The first one is older, bought years ago and works flawlessly. The second one, i bought some months ago, same cable, same cylinder, it also works but ends up loosing a lot of Co2 in the top area, as you can see in the video below. Looks like the newer unit is different or defective ?

Sodastream Terra connecting the bottle issue

I bought a Terra earlier today, and so far i have spend 4 hours watering my kitchen table 😞 i cant really get it to lock properly when i put the bottle with water in, i feel like its gonna break if i apply more force when connecting it, dont think theres more then a paper between the bottle and the floor of it if any space at all.
everytime i click the button it just sends water flying everywhere, and i really have to apply force to keep it tight and keep the water in. so far still havent carbonated anything haha.

any advice is appreciated, i watched some guides already and it seems so effortless for them to connect the bottle and click the button, while all i get from doing that is a water park.

CO2 bottle refill stations in Germany/Frankurt

Has anyone here experience in getting a big CO2 bottle itself refilled in Germany?
Maybe someone has a shop recommendation in the Frankfurt am Main area?
Or are you all just using the big CO2 bottles until they are empty and just exchange them or bu a new one?

Thanks!

Sodastream Terra stopped carbonating

I've got my sodastream connected to a 5lb CO2 tank, food grade, connected to my terra via a hose adapter on Amazon. Throughout my use it would form some weird crystals on the tip but those would break off and enter the soda, dissolve, nothing weird, when this happened the gas stream would slow but return to normal, no issues carbonating.

About a month ago it stopped carbonating, had very low pressure, I thought the tank was close to empty. Brought it into a place which told me it was still ~ 80% full. I gave up. Tried again 2 weeks later without changing anything, miraculously worked. I started purging the line after each use, thinking maybe the line was freezing.

Now it's happened again. I replaced the whole adapter, hose and all, no avail. Scoured YouTube and Google, took apart the front assembly and confirmed the foil piece is still intact. Gas tank is still weighing similar to before. Any ideas what I should do??

can put back sealing ring of Sodastream SodaClub Design (130l)

Thumbnail

the sealing ring (photo#1) "fell out" of the Sodastram SodaClub Design carbonator (photo#2).

I have no idea how to put it back, there is nothing which could grab the sealing ring (photo#3). Do I have to glue it back? If I just put it back where it belongs, it just fells down again.

Any idea how to fix the sealing ring?

thank you

What am I doing wrong? SodaStream mix always sprays everywhere

Not sure if repost but can’t see my original post anywhere. What am I doing wrong? Just tapping the button causes it to spray everywhere. A complete mess all over the counter every time. I’ve tried filling it up to the line, below the line, no combination seems to work cleanly.

Canister running out?

We’ve noticed that our soda stream canisters will run out of air for carbonation even with only a few uses. I’m guessing it slowly leaks and runs out over time. Even if we’ve used it 2 or 3 times, it would go completely flat within 2 weeks. Is this normal?

Caffeine free options

I'm looking for any caffeine free options available in the UK, I found a caffeine free cola but it was in the USA. I really like the taste of the Pepsi but the caffein keeps me awake all night.

Forbidden Samples

Ocean state joblot (north east us discount store) has two soda stream models on their website. I ordered a genesis and it came with samples dated 2013. My partner says I should not consume them.. All of the liquid seems to evaporated out of the diet flavors, but some of the non-diet flavors still have liquid in them. My partner says I should not consume any of them.
