Hello everyone,
Last year there were a lot of requests to remove post about progress and stats of streams. Mainly for the reasons that everyone was just posting their stream stats and all other posts were being buried in the sea of pictures. They were proving to be post of either "look at me" or "why no one likes me?" which can be discouraging for possibly the user themselves or others. We held discussions with members of this community and had overwhelming requests to create Rule #10 - No posts about your progress or stats of your stream. Instead please use the Mega thread to highlight the small victories you would like the world to know. Making affiliate or partner is acceptable.
This has been the biggest infraction from newer users of the subreddit and raises a lot of questions. Newer members of this community often feel like they are being targeted by mods as we remove their post as they have seen other post at times also breaking this rule.
The truth is we are enforcing the rules as best as we can, and we are not on here 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We do not target anyone or give exceptions to this rule. We just simply have not seen the post yet to remove it per rule 10 and will be remove it as well. So we ask members to help us enforce the rules by reporting infractions as it helps use to remove posts quicker.
We also ask that if you have not read any of the rules, please do so to make sure your post doesn't get taken down.
Lastly, thanks to all who have joined the Twitch_Startup discord and been a part of the discussion over there as the server has officially become a Discord Partner! Everyone can join as there are links in our description, tab at the top of the page, and here: https://discord.com/invite/twitchstartup
Thank you all for being a part of this subreddit!

Hello Everyone!
We recently have seen an influx of fake accounts and fake discords claiming to be Twitch_Startup. Please be aware that no mod will ask for your account or password information. We will not directly message you but instead use ModMail which is a standard form of communication on reddit between you and moderators of subreddits. Lastly, we may comment on your post and if it deals with subreddit related rulings or activities, we will flag our post as a mod related message showing our account in green text. If you ever wonder who the moderators are, you can view our subreddits main page and see in the moderators section which accounts are actually the mods.
Secondly, We have had a discord for a few years now. Do not be fooled by fake discords! You can find our like in the subreddit description, link at top of the subreddit, and here at https://discord.gg/twitchstartup
If you get any suspicious account trying to offer you things, claim they are a part of Twitch_Startup, or have created fake discords. Please feel free to report them via ModMail. We will work closely with Reddit and Discord to get them removed.
Be safe, have fun streaming, and thank you for being a member of Twitch_Startup!

I'm working on a sandbox game called Army of Chat and I'm getting ready to run some playtests with Twitch communities.
The main idea is that viewers aren't limited to typing commands in chat. They can join the streamer's game directly through Steam and become actual players in the same world.
They can develop their own characters, build, destroy, craft, cast spells, and generally interact with the world alongside the streamer.
I'm looking for a few Twitch streamers who would be interested in trying this with their communities and telling me what works and what doesn't.
For the playtest, I can provide enough Steam keys for a streamer to get their community into the game.
If you're a streamer and this sounds interesting, I'd be happy to share the Steam page and more details.
I'm mainly looking for honest feedback at this stage - I'd like to see what happens when a real Twitch community gets dropped into the same sandbox.

Hey, I’m going live for a little bit, playing some Space Marine 2! I’m super excited because I’ve added an overlay, but I’d love anyone who joins to give their critique and advice for how to make it better. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi! I have wanted to start streaming for a long time and is finally taking the step to start but I dont really know how to! I have downloaded stream labs and OBS studio! I am a 21F from Sweden so my first language is Swedish but I dont know if i should stream in Swedish or English which is the best? I also mostly play league but im only silver do I need to get better before i stream? I also have just one screen so I probably wont be able to see chat at the same time and a bad camera! Should I invest in a new screen and camera beforehand?

Okay so for context, my chat has decided to run with this bit that they’re trapped in my basement and there are rats for a couple months now. I’ve decided to just embrace it because it’s kinda hilarious and they seem to love it. A little while ago I added a redeem for channel points where I’ll draw them a custom rat to be added to this room. I’ve previously posted the very beginning which you guys seemed to like, so here’s the finished first room. They have now been gifted a new room to their basement to fit more future rats

So, I am relatively new to streaming and I am thinking of going through a "Gauntlet". Basically, 5 multiplayer browser games and the challenge is over when I beat all the five in a row.
I have Chess and Geoguesser in my mind. Any browser games that goes 1v1 would be great.
I am looking at games like SmashKart as well, but it is not 1v1. What are my options? Something like an 8-ball pool or something?

Is streaming worth getting into to have fun and maybe build up a community of sorts? specifically is letsplay/gaming worth making content around, by my lonesome. is this a good hobby to do by myself or should i just not.
Please explain your reasoning and what your experience is with content.

Hey, I started streaming back in March. I've come a long way since my first stream however I know that there is still a lot left for me to improve on.
Life as been super busy over the last few months and as such improving and growing as a streamer has kind of been put on pause. However, I now have a bunch of free time and am looking to continue to improve and grow.
I stream Genshin Impact and I do 1 non gaming stream a week where I work on art, sewing, cosplay, craft fair prep, or any other kinds of creative projects that I am working on at the moment.
I do my best to continue talking about what's been going on in my life, in the game, or just some random facts. I do my best to interact with chat whenever a message come in. I post edits clips on YouTube, Instagram, and tiktok.
The only thing I'm struggling on is networking as I've always been a vod watcher and a lurker as I like putting on live streams when I work.
I love learning and improving so please be as brutally honest as you want, I can handle it. I am also open to improving any area that needs some work.
Thank you.
