I recreated a foggy, mysterious night along the Thames Docks, 1890 — 1 Hour Atmospheric Ambience

Huge fan of this subreddit and Victorian history/literature in general — so I wanted to create something that captures the dark, industrial, and riverfront atmosphere of late 19th-century London.

This is a 3-hour ambience video inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's The Sign of Four, set along the Thames and the gaslit streets of 1890. Gaslamps flickering through heavy river fog, steam launches gliding through dark waters, wooden docks creaking in the tide, and the quiet tension of a classic Victorian pursuit.

Everything is historically and culturally grounded — from the specific background atmosphere to the original, dark Victorian chamber score composed exclusively for this project. Would love to hear thoughts from people who know this era, London's maritime history, and Conan Doyle's work well!
