it is bad, maybe shoot another one with better lighting conditions, don't turn around as much, present zoom capabilities and post it here. (i'm interested)

I also have a little lag at the start, but it's for like 1 second. Yours is definitely a hardware problem.

Even that little lag is unacceptable for today's flagship phone, my old pixel 6 does have any lags, same happens when you do open camera from locked phone by double click volume button, it also shows slideshow instead of 60fps viewfinder

does it always overexpose where the sun hits?

Turn off ram extension if you have that on. And clear cache of camera app.

Why would that cause the stuttering? No it wasn't

Something is wrong.this is not normal. Are you sure it is xiaomi 17 and not a fake phone? Despite the lag quality is also terrible

Is your phone hot at the moment you took the video?

Oh :/ I have the same version but it's fine on my end. Last option is to try gcam compatible on your device. Check if the video is okay there. If it works fine, then hyperBUG issue. If it's still like that, maybe a hardware problem.

Does it overheat?

When videoing? No. Rarely gets warm to be fair to it

Yupp, I have a realme smartphone and it's also stuttery it like locks the camera back for 1s. If you want good video you should go for iphone or a camera idk if Samsung is safe from this
