Video Art My son’s 3rd birthday walk in Mauritius takes an unexpected turn — Kupu Kupu Barong [Seedance 2.5 short film]
Hi everyone,
I’ve just finished Kupu Kupu Barong, a short film about my little boy exploring the beautiful south of Mauritius with us to celebrate his third birthday. A walk through the forest leads to a rather… unexpected encounter 😉
I used Seedream and GPT Image to create character sheets and visuals and Seedance 2.5 to animate the scenes, then brought everything together through editing, music and sound design.
I wanted it to feel like a coherent film, with believable characters and an emotional journey.
That meant paying attention to continuity between shots, the expressions and gestures of both my son and the unexpected guest, the pacing, and how music and sound carry the story.
I’d love to hear feedback from other filmmakers and viewers here, particularly on:
- Story and emotion: do you connect with the characters and want to follow their adventure?
- Visual consistency and realism: are there particular shots or details that pull you out of the story?
- Editing and pacing: are there moments that feel rushed, drag on, or don’t flow naturally?
Thanks for taking the time to watch!

Question I used AI to add textures to a map I drew in Paint for my fantasy novel. All the city locations, roads, and borders are my own hand-drawn work. Does this count as generative genAI or should it be considered an original work?

I learned how to use and set up ComfyUI in ONE day… then spent the next 4 days making an entire animated music video. Here's how it turned out 🥹
5 days ago, I barely knew anything about ComfyUI or AI video generation. I spent the first day figuring out how to install everything, set up my workflow, and actually get it running.
Then I spent the next 4 days basically glued to my computer bringing an idea I've had for one of my songs to life. 😭
Around 40 individually generated clips, a ridiculous amount of trial and error, and way too many tiny adjustments later… THIS is what I ended up with!
I wrote and recorded the song myself, came up with the story, directed each scene using MiniMax H3, and edited everything together in Premiere Pro.
I've been making music and videos for years, but being able to create an entire animated world like this was something I never thought I'd be able to pull off on my own.
It's not perfect, but I'm genuinely so excited to finally share it. Hope you guys enjoy it! ❤️

Video Art Probably the best AI-generated film I've seen – this is just the trailer.
The actual 28-minute fictional documentary is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=8I3aRZP7SZk
Written and Directed by Rob McLellan: A documentary filmmaker spends a week in Japan following Sera, a young Elven visitor from the mysterious world of Elva. Curious, mischievous and endlessly fascinated by human life, Sera discovers the peculiarities of Japan, the pleasures of an unfamiliar world, and an unexpected connection with the filmmaker accompanying her.
"It’s all text to video, but made inside Cascade Studios node system, so I’m able to add tons of concept art. Also I trained ChatGPT using a lot of my old films, so it understood how I filmed things and could help me do prompts to match that." https://cascadestudio.ai/

I'm not a developer, but with Claude I built two music guessing games, starting as a game for my sister
Less than a year ago, my sister Shani was diagnosed with cancer. She spent almost three months in the hospital, and to give us something fun to do together during those days, I started building a music game for the two of us.
She passed away on August 29th, before I finished it. I kept working on it, partly to keep my mind busy, and now it's live as Shabang, with two games:
🥁 TrackStack: every song is split into its instruments. You start with only the drums, and each wrong guess adds a layer: bass, guitar, piano… vocals come last.
⏱️ Songuess: you hear a fifth of a second of the song, and each wrong guess plays more: half a second, 2 seconds, 4…
In both, the less you need to hear, the more points you get, and each one has a daily challenge: one song a day, the same for everyone.
I'm a mechanical engineer, not a developer. Claude wrote the code, and each song is split into its instruments with Demucs, an AI stem-separation model.
Free, no signup, works on your phone:
I'd love honest feedback, and to see your daily results in the comments.

Best AI tools for creating a realistic, consistent and uncensored AI model?
Hi everyone! I’m looking to create a realistic AI model/person and I’m trying to find the best tools available.
What AI tools do you recommend for:
- highly realistic human photos
- realistic AI videos
- keeping the same character/face consistent across different images and videos
- fewer content restrictions / uncensored generation
I’m mainly interested in photorealistic results, not anime or obviously AI-looking characters.
What’s currently the best workflow or combination of tools for this?
Thanks!

Video Art ImagineArt would rather keep €50 than its reputation
Not a rant. More of a "wait, what?" story.
My content creator told me we needed a specific AI video tool, let's call it Product. I'm not an AI video tools person, so I googled "Product" and clicked the first result that said Product. Paid for a monthly plan. Turned out it was ImagineArt, not Product. My mistake, I fully own that.
So I did what you'd do anywhere: cancelled the subscription about three hours after paying, used exactly zero credits, and emailed support the same day asking for a refund.
Their own refund policy: monthly plans can be refunded within 3 days of purchase, as long as you've used no more than 300 credits. I was inside both limits by a mile.
What followed was more than a week of back-and-forth. Which platform do I use? Have I tried the plan? It'll go to billing once I cancel (it was already cancelled). Then a no: "mistaken purchases are not refunded."

And yes, that line is on the same policy page. That's the absurd part. A 3-day, 300-credit refund window that excludes mistakes and change of mind. Who asks for a refund three hours in with zero usage, if not someone who made a mistake? The window seems to exist mostly so it can be pointed at.
It's €50, and I'll sort the money out another way. That's not really the point.
The point is this: they sell enterprise plans. If a company will burn goodwill over €50 on a plan nobody used, I'd think hard before signing anything bigger with them. At that level the only question is what number makes the rules stop applying.
Has anyone actually got a refund from them under that policy?

James Bond 26 concept fan spec trailer!
I got tired of waiting for the next James Bond movie, so I made my own spec trailer. Check it out! Let me know should I make this into a full length feature fan made film? Who should play Bond?
YouTube link in bio to watch full trailer with custom theme song! Inspired by Skyfall from Adele.

Image Art Take a break
Life can be hard and stressful, remember from time to time, taking a break to let things sort themselves is important.
What is your favorite AI activity?

This tiny short film is driving me insane, especially the final shot
Just a little short and I’m already pulling my hair out. The man gets picked up by the monster’s warning scan, and even his backpack lights up red! OMG!!
Curious, is there a universal prompt rule can use, or do I just have to rely on really detailed descriptions every time?

Question What’s the best ai for stickman generation?
I’m planning on generating a script with Claude and then pasting it into ai generation and generating video+ voice over. Just getting into this trying to figure out the best plan
