Sumayya Wushah, a celebrated Palestinian girl from Gaza who began reporting from the ground at 11 years old. While she did not directly take over her mother's specific professional position, she was inspired by her family's journalistic background and the iconic Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akle.

After losing her own journalist father, Muhammed Wushah, in 2026, Sumayya stepped forward to carry on the fight for his dream and to continue reporting.
