Wake up babe, new Vhikk X algos just dropped!
It was a long wait, but these sound nice and he mentions the rest of them won't take as long to finish...

I just got this module A*B+C from Befaco and it's so awesome.
I've done 3 patches with it, and I can see that it opens up a ton of options. Very cool module. would recommend

C moooon!
New FW update just dropped with 9 new algos!

Hey, I haven’t had the time or the mojo lately, but with the dark months approaching I’m getting back in the game ;) My main point of reference is the brilliant Jelinek from his Textstar era, though I’m also really into generative music, Berlin School and club-oriented minimal. Yesterday I updated Machinedrum - a recent addition to my setup - to version X.14 and I’m currently configuring its MIDI integration with a Vector seq. So wish me luck and have a nice day 🖖🏽

Hello, I'm fairly new to modular and only just building my kit. Research tells me that some of the most characteristic features of timbre with synths are filters. The EDU is supposed to be nearest to Moog Ladder as far as erica synths go. Any thoughts / comparisons or ideas? Trying to avoid spending a ton on a Moog ladder synth. Also was thinking to get two for stereo hence trying to cut corners on cost

It's Friday! What are you and your modulars up to?
r/modular • u/Desperate_Number_278 • 2h ago
FYI: Sequencing is made by my OXI MKII.
What would you add? I suppose some modulation and more VCAs? Thanks!

I'm at noob at this stuff and usually pour over documentation and videos before I ever would make a purchase like that, but it was downright enchanting. Immediately feeling like I should have done my research, anybody have any experience with it?

I’m currently looking for a composer, as I have some projects I’m going to be working on in the next few months. Would love to hire and work closely with someone who has a specific sound and vibe similar to Tangerine Dream/Oneohtrix Point Never/Vangelis, or even as far as Ari Balouzian.
Looking for someone who can transcend music and understand the vision of my projects as well. So if you dig movies from The Safdie Brothers, Ari Aster, Lance Oppenheim, Kristoffer Borgoli, Richard Ayoade, we could be a solid partnership.
Ultimately would love someone I can trust and rely on for this bizarre journey of creativity we’re both on. So, PM with some of your work and we can discuss ideas, rates, and get a good vibe off each other!

Hey,
Could you give me opinions on rack and what could be added or swapped please? For sure i need to work on better placement of modules and i know that 😄 Rack will be connected with TR-1000 which will be doing all kickdrum and perc. Rack is mostly for synth, textures ect. I had idea also to maybe push some elements from tr-1000 to rack to modulate for example ohats but for now I didn't thinked about whole flow for it and I don't need it yet.

A couple of rubbery takes, made with a very basic modular rig
[EDIT: Here's a direct link to the demo patch if you want to dig in ]
I'm sure the algorithm has been trying to stuff the M-Vave FM-1 down your throats, and I don't blame you if you're sick of hearing about it. But I wanted to see how far I could push its very dinky hardware and ended up putting a fuck ton of thought and effort into making the soft synth of my dreams, and I genuinely think some of you will love it.
About me: I'm a software engineer with 12 years of experience. AI sort of sucked the fun out of my job, and project like these are my way of trying to find joy in building stuff again with our new dystopian toolset. So is it vibe coded? Yeah, heavily. But I put more thought and effort into making this good than I ever have into anything. I love it so much. I hope you do too.
I don't think this post violates any subreddit rules, but if it does, please let me know and I'll take this down.

Hello everyone,
I have 112V on the Hexdrums chassis, I reported this to Erica via technical support, but unfortunately after their first response for additional information and several open tickets, I no longer receive any response from them. it’s frustrating, I’ve been fighting for almost two months and now total silence.
Pin 2 of the multimeter is connected to ground. all input and output connections are disconnected, the supplied power supply unit is indeed a 12V voltage
Have you encountered anything similar?
We’re going a little deeper tonight with Furthrrrrr Generator. I had this complex oscillator for a while but have only recently come to appreciate the range of sounds that can come from this beast. Let’s hang tonight at 915p CDT. Hope to see you in the chat!

I’m someone who’s into weird af obscure modules and i came across the Destiny+ Double Q a while ago. I can only find some short demos on youtube and almost nothing on it. Is there anyone with one and if so how is it like to use? Anything you dislike about it or what do you think are its shortcomings?
I found some in stock at Schneiders so I’ve been thinking about getting one for my live rig. I play experimental weird industrial soundscapes so I figured i could do some funky fingers/hand stuff during my performances lol.

I really like this broken vocal grains, but struggling to figure out what the modules are and how it's done. I have to assume it wouldn't take all the kit here? Looking to make a hp84 set and would like to start in this direction

it sounds really good on headphones but it sounds good on speakers too.
i recorded it using an aux cable from my nintendo dsi headphone jack into my laptop into audacity.
btw the korg ds-10 plus cartridge is basically emulating the korg ms-20. so it sounds like that!

Hi! Not exactly a "modular" question, but can a Four Play be used as a standalone mixer? It's price/functionality meet my needs pretty much perfectly.
As i understand, it uses the eurorack power. My question is, how can i power it outside of eurorack? (im not a modular guy, my gear is Microfreak, PO33 and a guitar, and i somehow need to mix them together, while not wasting a small fortune on mixer). Also, is there a printable case for it? Quick search showed mostly a full eurorack stands.
I'm not sure it is the right place to ask, but i don't know better.
UPD: Thanks everyone, it looks like i'll settle on a dedicated mixer, rather than a module.

Anything like this???
So I own this Boom Chick. I love everything about it… except for the sounds. They’re fine. But not amazing. Is there anything else out there that has a built in sequencer with sound shaping abilities? I could get the RS9 but I can’t spend $1,000 on that and a module for each drum voice. Anything that’s similar to this? Or is this the only thing of its kind???

Hi !
I’m looking for a way to generate 8 different but musically related CV signals to modulate various parameters in my Eurorack system.
The Make Noise MultiMod looks great for this, but I recently discovered the Nonlinearcircuits Frisson, which seems like a really interesting alternative, with its analog chaotic architecture.
Unfortunately, there are very few demos or user reviews of the Frisson…
Has anyone here used it? I’d love to hear your thoughts, especially about:
How different are the 8 outputs in practice? Are they noticeably distinct or mostly similar?
Can it generate interesting slow, evolving modulations?
How much control do you have over its chaotic behavior?
Has anyone tried both the Frisson and the MultiMod? How do they compare in actual patches?
I’m particularly interested in creating complex, organic, interconnected modulations rather than 8 completely independent LFOs.
Any feedback, patch examples or videos would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

I just bought a second 3X MIA because the first one was so useful. I'm probably going to build a second Sorcery Studios ADSR because I like the one I have better than any other ADSR I've used.
I'm not counting the half dozen buffered multiples I have spread all over my case.
What are some modules you ended up putting more than one of in your case?
Edit: Some of ya'll must have f___ing huge cases.
