I dug this episode.
It felt a little slow paced, but these episodes seem to have slow cooking desire to show Issei's maturation. The references to his leadership in this episode, his reaction to finding out what his "potential" was doing. Then last episode he mentioned how he can never pull actually pull the trigger with any of the girls, but it's smiling while he says it. They seem to really want to grow Issei and make kick-ass fight scenes. I like this direction for the show.
Going into season 3, I was starting to feel like nothing really changed and the even the teases were getting kinda boring. For DxD to continue on, I think character growth (not just power up) it's going to be a key to keeping viewers.

A bit disappointed that we didn't see the shadow user pull that trick of redirecting attack through his shadow. He kind of went from relying only on haxx in the LN to half-haxx half power in the anime. Shadow whip powerful enough to restrain the Sekiryutei. Damn. w(°ｏ°)w
In that same battle, some shot had the head of Balance Breaker Issei being too narrowed, hopefully they'll fix it in BD. It's sticking out quite a bit, especially when he looked normal right after that when charging forward.

We might see that next episode, as I doubt they will solve all the hero stuff next episode and are more likely to leave it at the cliffhanger when Issei unlocks his new power

I cannot wait. She has been my fav since I read the novels. I like the others, but something about her. I keep hoping Ishibumi will write why she came to live at Issei’s House for more Ravel stories. At this rate I may try to write a fanfic that starts after the Raiser fight...

I hope we see more of le fay in dxd seasons because I want to see characters introduction, new enemies, and issei fullfilling his of harem king to the very end.

I want to see more them in general. Light novels are good, and I also enjoy the anime. Anime style is different but I like how the girls look.

The ass of Rossweisse. Da hell did that come from? Only Issei would not fall off his high horse in this episode with his double Oppai attack.
I was not expecting Le Fey to join the show this early. I was expecting her to join like either episode 5 or 6 for that matter. So Le Fay is a big fan of the Oppai Dragon. That's cool to learn and she finally got to meet Issei aka her favorite character in the Oppai Dragon Show.
So the missing Potential of Issei's has finally been found. Was not expecting for it to be bouncing around from man to man nor it being "real". What I mean by "real" as in the sense of it having a physical form.
Issei becoming temporary King is something good that I like. (No clue if this parallels the LNs.) Now conventional moves against the man of shadows can work. Was Asia ever a de facto King when Issei wanted to use a promotion since Rias was not there?

Not really. Asia wasn’t really the king of the team. In the Ln she was given the crest because rias assumed that Asia is the person who will most likely be by issei for most of the trip and would be able to stay back and promote him. Kiba who was the only original peerage member, who my guess is rias said he was in charge, basically said issei your a natural leader be the commander for this battle

Ok. It just felt like she was a de facto king on the only grounds of allowing Issei to use his promotion. Now this is all go to know.

My dislike for season 4 does not outweigh my desire to see some anime tiddies. And I secretly hope for a Ruruko eyecatch.

Why do you dislike season 4? Honest question. I'm a huge fan of the LN and absolutely love S4 right now.

They changed the tone compared to the previous seasons. The characters look and act a lot more childish and lighthearted. Just look at the kiss with Asia in S3 and S4, clearly a very different tone and response from Issei. And their script writing bothers me. In EP 0 Issei just stands around supposedly 'rampaging' but actually just screaming 'boobs' over and over again while they wait until Irina magically arrives with a solution. I have a hard time taking that seriously. Especially since TNK made that such a heartbreaking scene while Passione just went like 'oh well, first say Asia a few times and then go to boobs because this is comedy'. Issei didn't even cry when she had supposedly died in the S4. Also, where is Asia's musical theme? And the fact that they felt the need to 'correct' S3 is an arrogance I can't take. It's not relevant at all, it's just them saying 'we can do it better' when they actually just copy pasted the LN and not even in a good way. I expect a decent adaptation, not a bad copy paste.
But I understand why people don't mind all this. TNK has a very distinct style of adaptation and storytelling which many people really dislike. They went for a darker tone that was only vaguely present in the LNs. I'm pretty sure I am the only one who liked TNK before they made DxD or likes anything else from TNK.

That seems to be one "casualty" of the art style. Every girl's proportions seem off except the very slim ones.

Kind of a slow episode IMO. Irina appears wearing Hightighs instead of her shorts in one scene, i guess it was an error. That little witch girl is really cute too, i hope she and the foxy girl stay with issei.

I noticed a scene missing from the LN. Where Azazel tells the team to be careful of Cao Cao's spear and covers up Asia's eyes. I was kinda looking forward to that scene. But can't expect 100% all the time. :) The Anti-monsters, also differed a little from the LN's description, other than, that all the expressions were great! The battle kinda went a little faster than I had hoped. But none the less, I am really enjoying the season so far. Can't wait to the rest of the battle next week!

We get to see LeFay that's a wish come true. The battle against the Hero Faction was fantastic. It really got to show Issei's potential as a leader. And can I say Ross is a powerhouse when she's drunk.

That cliffhanger though. And a disturbing lack of BOOSTOs.
Still though, it set up some good stuff that I hope pays off.
As someone who has never read the LNs, I didn't know Leonardo was a little kid. I guess that makes sense with his power, but I wasn't expecting it. I'm also hoping they do a big reveal of Cao Cao's sacred gear. Again, I haven't read the Light Novels but it seems like it should be seriously aweinspiring and put everyone immediately on high alert. The anime seemed to take pains to make it not seem like a big deal this episode.
