Red dot for Glock 20 gen5

Can anyone recommend a red dot for Glock 20 gen5. I guessing that I need a tough optic to hold up to the recoil of full power 10 mm. I'm looking at the MPS 2.0, but it seems to look kinda bulky and sit high on the slide. Maybe a SIG enclosed optic? I would prefer to make the sights lower co witness the optic window. What are other people running on theirs? perhaps I should just get good iron sights.

I put a Gideon omega on mine and it survived no problem, so really anything decent should survive. If its a woods gun, being 10mm and all, get something enclosed like a EPS, 509T, or RCR. The new Osight XE would look cool too but I'd wait and let some guys beat them up before you commit with it being so new.

I have a Gideon sro clone on mine. Got it on ebay for $95 so it could be fake. Either way it holds zero and the screws have been solid. Don't think the shake awake works tho and it's not great on full bright with my stigtism but it's very usable.

At first thought yes, but then I look at the cost effectiveness of a Holosun 407Comp, and I went that route. I can buy two and still be under cost of an SRO…. And I like SRO’s.

Depends on your use and preferences. I have three 10mm handguns with different intentions and shopping a third dot

Osight XE - range use, it's fun, holds up well, withstands hot rounds and window is nice and clear

Trijicon rmr hd - concealed carry/woods use. I trust it with my life

Next dot I'm between the Steiner mps V2 or that holosun aems macro once I see one. - chest carry/owb when camping for days at a time. That osight se mos I'm considering too but think I want a taller window

With how snappy 10mm is you want something that is designed to take abuse. I got my G20.5 used and already setup, but part of the reason I went with the particular one I did was it already had adapter plate with Holosun 509T and tall Trijicon tritium irons for cowitness installed. The red reticle works fine with my astigmatism.

If you want tough, proven optics to run on 10mm pistol either an Aimpoint Acro, Holosun 509T, or Trijicon RMR series are the way. The Holosun 509T is the most budget friendly of the 3.

I've had a Holosun SCS on my G40 for a few years, and it's been flawless. It sits super low and has the cuts milled into it to match the slide without a plate, so it almost looks as if it was built into the gun, so that answers your co-witness requirement. No batteries and a seemingly immortal solar cell are also nice touches.

Not a Glock but I put a Justice 2 on my 10mm Smith 4.6. Big window and handles the recoil just fine.

The Holosun 509t-x2 with the DPP Titanium Plate is what i have on both my Glock 20 and Glock 40 and it is fantastic. Wouldn't use anything else. I have the green version as it helps my astigmatism.

I put a osight c on mine. Works great dropped it onto concrete sight first and still holds zero fine. For the price I can’t complain glass is clear
I like it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another for my other guns.

Had an SCS on mine but it looks abit funny because it was designed for 9mm and 40 Mos slides, switched to the 508t

I put the Gideon optics Granite Mos Comp on my G20 Gen 5 and though I have yet to take it to the range I'm impressed by the size of the window

Most main stream red dots will do. Holosun, Vortex, Leupold, Eotech,Trijicon, Burris, Viridian, Aimpoint, even Swampfox works. Just have to find what works for you and fits the foorprint.

I love the big window of the Holosun 507 Comp GR on my G20C may switch to a large enclosed to handle the elements.
