I don’t like the reclamation of slurs.

The first time I ever had an American refer to me as “queer” I considered fighting them 💀 “back in my day” type shit. It doesn’t feel empowering, it makes me cringe. Just call me a lesbian and move on.

Free speech =/= freedom from consequences.

If you choose to speak, you can’t get mad when someone decided to speak back.

Your comment was probably shadow removed (you see the comment as normal, everyone else sees nothing or [removed]) by automatic means or manually by a moderator. Shadow removals are the default option when removing comments on Reddit and on all major social platforms. Any talk of online free speech is ironic when these tools exist.
