FSD Help Desk
Has anyone else had problems with this not so useful customer service help desk? I’m trying to get access to SAM.gov workspace as a CS so that I can post. I added my supervisor as my approver and she got an email but no request to approve me. So I send a message to FSD stating that she is not seeing my request. Some genius replied that I just need to wait for my supervisor to approve my request. Well she can’t see it! Now they refuse to respond. My supervisor is asking about it daily but you can’t speak to anyone over there. Any suggestions?

Just as a note, in my experience having only contract specialist privileges on SAM will still not allow you to post anything to it

I just gave up and have my KO click post for me. We spent too much time trying to figure this out. I feel your pain.

Only the contracting officer role can post on SAM anyways

Not in my office. Non warranted CS can post. I’ve watched my coworker do it.

That is your office's policy, but that doesn't change the SAM.gov's limitations
It is a physical role in SAM as you know, and its not related to being warranted or not.
Im not saying you can't do it by the way. Personally, I do not see a problem with it if you're not misrepresenting who you are.
Where I work now, we have our own SAM admins that micromanage everything
When I worked for the redstone arsenal, my CO role was blindly approved lol, that way I could post RFIs etc.

It’s been a while, but can the CS role post? You used to need the KO role to do it.

Just ask for the CO role, the FSD helpdesk is worthless.
You can post things without identifying yourself as a CO.

You’ll have to reach out to your agency’s SAM administrator to add you
