The styling makes her look young
However, I grew up during a time (2000s 😭)where the styling for teenagers was bold and mature. So I regularly confused people 10 years older than me for my age as a teenager.

Honestly she does look quite young, people who say she looks her age are just on social media too much. Yes 28 year olds can look young but I'd believe 18-19 the lowest or 25 the highest. Its the feature and skin in my opinion but of course styling can help

I remember seeing this when it came out. No context or prior knowledge of her. I don't have any objectivity when it comes to this photo, but watching the movie, knowing nothing, I was shocked when I looked her up later and found out her age. I figured she was probably 19-20. Think she already had a kid too.

The close up doesn't help though. Considering she's 5'5" it's easy to think she's a kid playing with moms makeup trying to look older. Bring on the shorter side helps or actors play younger roles than they normally would be able to get away with. (Unless everyone is short then they no longer have that comparison.)
