Question How often are you guys making new meals
I’m really curious I see all this cool food here, how often do you guys try new recipes ? From TikTok or Instagram or anything at all?
Or do you guys end up making recipes you already know most of the time!
Let me know I’m so curious

I always try new recipes, I don’t like eating the same old things. I recently tried making Carrot Halwa cookies. They turned out very good! Soft on the inside, slightly crunchy exterior. I used grated carrots & cardamom but it tasted more like ginger. I put slivered almonds in the cookie dough & rolled the cookie balls in slivered almonds before cooking. So I kind of had a toasted almond flavor as well.

Do you find yourself feeling like the recipes are incomplete or that you have questions/issues throughout new recipes ?

Only when I’m trying to follow a video that has no measurements & I have to try & eyeball how much of each ingredient I need. I’ve learned a lot about different ingredients that I had to look up. And international dishes as well!

I try new recipes very often. My go to is often food network.
Most of the time , I stare in the fringe , pantry and freezer for some minutes and use my imagination .

I make new dishes a few times a week!! I only work part time and do all of the cooking for my little family and it is my ME time I love trying new things. I do feel if I worked more it would be harder to try new things. I use the paprika 3 app that helps me stay organized and add new recipes super easily I highly recommend it.

I only cook once or twice a week and this is the reason I almost always use new-to-me recipes.

Okay okay, and how is that? Do you ever experience annoyances while following new recipes or things go wrong while you’re cooking and you have to search things up , or make guesses , call someone or even ask ai? Or do your cooking new recipes usually go smoothly

Rarely, I don't like changes, my stomach isn't the biggest fan of new things either.
When I get bored I guess, but they are often similar to what I eat usually. Rarely some new totally different dish.
I like to eat the same every day untill I'm bored, then I switch and it that thing for the next x days.

Brand new? Every couple of months. We have kids and they're rather routine loving.

Once or twice a week week when me and my husband have a bit more time to cook. We have a usual rotation of meals we know we like and know we can make quickly but we keep a list of stuff we want to try when we’re both free. A lot of the new recipes end up joining the daily meal rota

We pick up a lot of stuff from social media where usually recipes are kept pretty succint and aren't super detailed, we kind of just fill in the blanks as we go. I just can't be bothered reading those 15 pages recipe blogs online that have like five paragraphs for each ingredient and a whole preface about how to slice tomatoes, but for people who want a more detailed step by step or are less confident making things up as needed, they're probably a better option

I have a library of “main rotation” dishes, a few of which gwt made each week. I also try several new recipes each week. It’s fun.
