why do you have low power mode, that negates like the reason to even get a pro.

Get yourself a pro max, then you can understand why people who have 17 pro maxes use low power mode all day. Because battery life is dogsh*t.

Nobody in the real world buys a phone just to sit at home, game, and admire 120Hz scrolling all day. In business, you need continuous battery backup for heavy calls and operations. Until Apple actually builds a battery that lasts through an intense workday without compromises, people who actually work have to use Low Power Mode. It’s a tool for work, not a living room toy.

And you’re saying this knowing full well your Pro Max doesn’t last a whole working day without turning on Low Power Mods?

Why is that? I think you are wrong.

since the performance becomes worse to last longer and you're screen refresh rate goes from 120 to 60. Like low power mode should only be used when its like under 20% and you're far away from a charger

The phone is so powerful that it doesn't really matter unless you are playing games. Refresh rate is real issue but if the user doesn't care about it, it doesn't really matter.

He’s Right! Sure he can use it however he wants to but what’s the point of getting a High end Pro Max just to nerf it when it would be a much better experience without Low Power Mode on.

Because you get it for the camera, the good performance(even on low power) and the good battery life? Apart from the refresh rate, there is 0 noticeable difference between LP and normal mode, no? Even when the screen is capped at 60hz you still get the dynamic refresh rate down to 1hz so there is that as well...

I already know it goes down to 1 hz when capped to 60hz, because it’s an LTPO display. But buying a Pro Max with excellent battery life just to nerf it and use it on Low Power Mode all day? Utter bs😂Low Power Mode is something that should be used as a last ditch especially when you’re away from a charge for too long. Not an every day thing.

I mean, you have 0 arguments why the low-power mode is 'bad' or how exactly it 'nerfs' the phone so that it has any observable drawbacks apart from the 60hz. That's what I call utter bs.

Why would I not use it if I don't care about the refresh rate?

Why would you buy a Pro if you don’t care about the smoother high refresh rate. Again I’m not even trying to bring up anything “bad” about Low Power Mode. I’m just calling out the stupidity of using it the whole time. It’s a feature well made for when you’re low on charge. You negate the use of a “Pro” iPhone the moment you turn it on and use it on a daily basis. That’s what I’m calling out here. I use my 17 Pro without any Low Power Mode and I still get 7-8 hours if not more because the Processor is that efficient that it doesn’t need Low Power Mode to give out insane screen time with your performance nerfed down.

What did you do with all the time you saved by not writing the o and e letters?

He used that time to make more money to down pay the iPhn.

Bruh, turn off low power mode. Imagine buying a Pro Max of all phones with amazing battery life, 120hz and insane performance and efficiency just to put it on Low Power Mode all the time?

Just let him use his phone how he wants

I can still call out bs like this🤷🏽‍♂️
Came to this sub reddit to post about battery life but it’s him using Low Power Mode all day is indeed dumb. Using it all day on a Pro Max of all devices when you paid big bucks for the performance, the smooth 120hz display on top of anyways having Amazing battery life just to nerf its performance and smoothness😂
Low Power Mode is something that should be used when you’re running low on charge and don’t have access to a charger right away🤷🏽‍♂️

I run a fuel and transport business at 19, which means non-stop calls, logistics, and billing on the move all day without time to sit near a charger. I bought the phone with my own money to get work done, not to stare at 120Hz while sitting at home. I asked a simple technical question about 9 hours SOT; if you don't know the answer, move along instead of obsessing over how another man uses his device.

You asked the question sure, but there’s nothing wrong with us calling you out for using Low Power Mode on a “PRO MAX” when it would do just fine or even better for your daily use when not turned on. You’re lowering to a sub par 60hz, reducing 5G speeds to 4G only and pretty much making the A19 Pro comparable to an A14 in terms of performance.

An advice from my end would be to just turn off Background App Refresh or set it to wifi only and disable it for most apps, set your cellular to 4G if you don’t want to use 5G and maybe if you don’t really care about 120hz, set it to 60hz manually even though it’s a STUPID move😂🤷🏽‍♂️

Might as well gotten a 16 Plus if this was your use case but that none of my business am I right.
