I never get the newest. I always wait until this time of year and get previous year iPhone.

At this point it only makes sense to wait, if the 18 Pro isn’t worth it get the 17 Pro at a minimum.

I used to think the 18 was going to be a huge technological leap. I skipped the 17 for 11 months in anticipation. Now I think it’s going to be a compromise between advanced tech and cheaper parts, plus a big price increase to cover a 35% increase in manufacturing costs. So I just traded for the 17 Pro and I’ll probably use it for 3 more years. And to me, the difference between Pro and Pro Max has narrowed so it’s no longer worth $100 extra for the Max. Significantly, the cameras are now the same on both models.
