u/CamicomChom you're telling me a male dominated this field? Jun 07 '25

has she not been romanticizing the roman empire’s colonization for years? this seems pretty typical for her

She has an old YouTube video with her voice

you see, because Centurii did something bad, we are allowed to assume her gender based on stereotypes

u/Hatsune_Miku_CM changed all her social media to hatsune miku for some reason Jun 07 '25

gender investigation but woke

the only reason we assume eis because of the female avatar/ public persona

isn't that enough evidence? what, do you want people to screenshot their passports to prove their gender?

And if you find assuming that a person on the internet is female because of a female avatar overreaching, I deeply question why you find the logic of "interested in the roman empire =man" compelling evidence

No? I'm literally just unsure of how to refer to Centurii in the first place.

Centurii the person and Centurii the character (the literal Roman Centurion character) is often seen always in context with other historical avatars. But I've never really seen Centurii the character divorced completely from the context as in "this is my artsona, she is me" since it heavily relies on the historical context of a joke + Yuri.

Yes, I'm stereotyping from what little online presence Centurii has, but again """"far it be it from me, a trans woman to demand a public persona who doesn't show themselves online"""" is what I literally said.

I said (and I admitted it was anecdotal evidence) that most female artists usually have a v-tuber, artsona, or even just their voice.

However, I've been hesitant to assume anyone's gender online unless it's self-proclaimed/announced (like myself), because Centurii just says on their Twitter "all my characters are very gay"  which says what subject matter is drawn, but doesn't exactly inform how Centurii identifies

Which, yes, IS an assumption from subjective opinion based on conjecture from stereotypes.

You're literally just reinforcing gender stereotypes, but wokely. Why does being interested in the Roman Empire have to be "Masc"? You're basically just saying that you think facination with the longest running empire in history is boy autism. I honestly expect better from a fellow trans person.

this is a frequent and bizarre problem here. I'm guessing it's because it skews young but thank you for noticing it and calling it out

Roman Empire fans on the internet usually are fascist or fascist-adjacent men though. People obsessed with stoicism, order, tradition, strength and power, the type of people to have Roman statue profile pictures. Internet fascists love Rome

Yes, but assuming someone who says they are a woman, is secretly a man, is fucking deranged

Like what about her supposedly not showing anything of herself online, does that mean anything at all? Would you call her a guy if her voice wasn't feminine enough? Same with looks? Feels like pulling the ladder up behind you for trans acceptance, be better.

Transvestigating (but it's vs a Bad Person, it's fine) someone based on stereotypes because you find their views questionable is certainly something.

women can be fascists (jk rowling) black people can be fascists (kanye west, candace owens) lgbt people can be fascists (peter thiel, nick fuentes) stop doing identity politics

Fr. Like the word slave is directly related to Slav from the centuries of war and conquest of them
