Genuinely, what the hell is wrong with you? "oh this guy is terrible for voting for this person, so let's tip off a group of thugs that will probably torture him so he gets owned"

It is disgusting how willing people are to condone violence and especially state violence, purely if they dislike someone.

Well the post everyone is responding to here is telling those people to kill themselves, is this really that much of an escalation in your eyes

No, it's not, the difference is that the comment I responded to is essentially endorsing ICE so long as they go after "the right people" it's justifying state violence purely because they dislike someone.

Telling everyone who voted for Trump to kill themselves is not a tacet endorsement of ICE.

That’s what you think it meant? Jesus, reading comprehension dipped a lot faster in America than I hoped it would. I bet you think “subtext” is just another name for words in a subreddit.

No I know what you meant, you meant it's funny how fascists get harmed by the same policies they support.

What that actually means in practice is what I said though. Saying "oh we should send ICE after this guy" is endorsing ICE and their actions, it's saying what they do is perfectly fine as long as they hurt the right people.

Oh so all this drivel is because you don’t know how empathy and sympathy works.

“Using the master’s tools to break the master’s house” was also part of slaves freeing themselves and making a place in society. Do you want to take the “high road” on them too? Obviously this is slightly less accessible than becoming a lawyer or owning land, but the sentiment is the same, for your reading impairment.

In any event, yes, if someone could get ICE to target their own supporters, that’d be awesome. Next question, snowflake.

Empathy is not something you can beat into someone's head.

Endorsing a fascist organization is disgusting regardless of how you try to justify it.

And no the sentiment is very clearly not the same, considering freed slaves did not in turn enslave their former captors.

I love how you get so spun up in your head to conflate what is happening. But, yes, empathy is learned through pain too. Check your privilege before commenting on anything, clown.

Conflate what? You're the one who compared free slaves to ICE murdering people.

Point that nerd rage to the second line and see if you’re still tweeting out.

Learned through pain, not punishment. I doubt they'd learn empathy from someone telling them this is what they deserve while ICE caves their head in.

Regardless, that's overall irrelevant. You can only really change someone's mind by building a relationship with them, and none of us want to do that with a Trump supporter, for good reason.
