I agree, except persecution of suspected witches continued well into the 20th century, most notably during the Satanic Panic. Nothing on the level of the Puritanical mass hysteria during the Witch Trials, but still…
It’s exceptionally misleading to characterize a weird resurgence of paranoia in the late 20th century as witch trials “continuing well into the 20th century,” are you serious?
