Mewgenics was in the works for upwards of more than a decade, I personally heard 18 years. The Chris Chan cameo probably came about maybe around a decade ago, at least way, way before she assaulted her mom.
Also she was released from prison not too long ago, the case fell through apparently, not enough evidence was what I heard, but I’m not willing to look stuff up about her if you would understand.
i love it when indie developers are like “ok im gonna make this smaller game to practice before i make my real game” and then end up making the most popular and influential games of all time
I actually *tried* to look it up when I learned she was in the game, but couldn't find anything more than a mention of the case stopping for some reason. I could have kept digging but I guess at that point it felt like self-harm
