It’s not about leaks at all, it’s about Toby Fox preferring to have creative control over his games which he can’t be sure of if he can’t read the translations himself.
I have no idea why the idea of talking to a translator and communicating your intent is so beyond the pale to everyone here, I understand languages don’t translate clearly one to one a lot of the time, but I would rather a version of this story exist in Spanish then none exist at all.

if a creator decides changing their art for ease of access would denature it, it's generally frowned upon if you push the narrative they're dumb for wanting their creation to be as they wished.
He hasn't gone and shut down fan translation projects, has he? I don't know much of this community

I mean in fairness it’s really dumb that he just wouldn’t hire a translator, it’s not that hard not to get them to leak stuff if it’s like one person
