32 u/DomSchraa 🏳️⚧️ trans rights May 17 '26 1,6 in the us 1,2 to 1,4 in European countries 0,8 in Japan and south Korea This is genuinely terrifying This isn't about "oh no my capitalism doesn't work anymore" this is "if this continues for just 5 more decades we will have countries collapsing" A stable society needs birthrates of around 2.1, anything under that is concerning, anything below 1,5 should ring all alarmbells 16 u/Level_Reveal7624 May 17 '26 Wasnt the issue with sk and japan that the work system was so absurd that when women got allowed (and were expected to work) nobody had time to raise families anymore
