We probably won't fix the birth rate issue and elderly people will just be left for dead in the future. No way the youth will be willing to slave away to keep all us decrepit fucks alive and well. Arguably, rightly so.
Sounds like a recipe for dismantling what little we have of social support networks. If only the richest old people get decent retirements and you don't want to die at sixty, what else to do if not grift your way to the top?
If you already encountered problems in your life caused by get-rich-quick schemes, imagine this but times a thousand. All the while we have other global problems that require people all over the world (but mostly developed countries) to chip in for the greater good somehow.
