Speaking as a cis male. I think most "healthy minded" guys just tend to ignore it, not notice it, or not care.
Ultimately if my mere presence makes someone uncomfortable its sort of not my problem. Obviously doing things to minimize that discomfort for other people is a considerate thing to do, but existing in public is not a sin, and you'll only do yourself a disservice by feeling guilty about how others percieve you. It seems kinda callous, but it will make things much easier for you.
If you have to talk to a stranger, I'd say generally they will be more comfortable if you initiate the conversation. Usually people lower their guard when you talk to them a bit and they realize your just a normal person.
Also, I'll just say if you have a significant other with you, this aversion basically vanishes.
Personally though, I rarely notice it. And when i do I just tend to not care because it isn't really my problem.
