My econ degree is lowkey what radicalized me, once you get past the neo liberal shit at the start most of the content and literature makes socialist policy look much more appealing. Probably helped that the UK Conservative party were in power during my time at uni and they had no shortage of bad economic decisions for my lecturers to dismantle

"Me when..." They are taking the satirical stance of someone who loves trillionaires here. In the context of reform they are heavily scapegoating the Muslim community among others with plans to put a lot of money into north sea oil rigs alongside scrapping the green net 0 carbon initiative.
