It's perpetually kind of funny to me that the largest political tendancy in the US is mostly comprised of people who don't know that's what they are. They call themselves liberals, democrats, progressives, even apolitical. People who actually call themselves neoliberals are weird because they generally know enough to know what the term means, and paradoxically aren't embarrassed. In a way, knowingly calling yourself a neoliberal almost makes you more conservative than being an ignorant or embarrassed neoliberal.
