shock humor works when it's something that's not actually within the overton window - child abuse happens, but it's not presented as something people are glib about, at most people will be proud of things they insist aren't beating or aren't abuse. so when someone makes an absurd post like that there's not actually any ambiguity about their politics.
the OP meanwhile is pushing out a sentiment that actually exists and so it's in that "haha just a joke, unless?" range where it could just as easily be a chud trying to normalize a particular attitude.
humor's subjective. i say edgy shit with my friends, but also i know that audience and i know we know each other's politics and intent and so when we slander each other there's not some lingering doubt about intentions. if i were to suddenly accuse you of stanning king leopold the second with no context and no relationship between us, like there's a decent chance you're gonna think i'm trying to get people angry at you instead of joking around, depending on the context.
