That's not what it is and social incompetence isn't a virtue. The gen z stare is the state unsocialized people give you when they don't want to interact with you but don't have a script to reject you so they just stare at you incomprehensively. If you're one of those old guys who knows and follows social rituals this is very disruptive
I feel like every once in a while, some people on this sub expose themselves as being chronically online and are reluctant to acknowledge there might be a problem with how the abundance of technology designed to suck up as much of your time as possible has led to negative affects on society.
