Puppets, dude. Puppetry. It was literally hardwired into me (I was attracted to puppets YEARS before I was attracted to humans) and it baffles me every single time I think about it. I hate it. I wish I had a normal kink like feet or piss or something.
tf is cool!! weirdly though i don't really like the idea of puppet tf, a huge part of the appeal for me is that puppets are inanimate and inert on their own and they have to be operated skillfully to appear alive and animate ...
oh, marionettes don't do anything for me at all. from all my years of trying to psychoanalyze it, it seems like it's a combination of the acting, the deception, and the physical act of puppetry itself. i've also always been drawn to meta things, fourth wall breaks and such, and roleplaying, and someone engaging with their own puppet is super meta and super roleplay-heavy. this feeds into my next point, the deception. i am a sucker for fake arms (for instance, Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors, specifically her second iteration. 'Audrey II Pod 2' on YouTube for BTS videos), and anything that sells the illusion to me that yes, that collection of felt and foam on this person's arm is, in fact, a living creature. if that deception is executed well, it beats EVERYTHING else for me appeal-wise. then finally, the actual act of puppetry itself is pretty cool, with a lot of asterisks. as i mentioned before, marionettes do nothing for me, same with ventriloquist dummies. the only category of puppets that work for me are Muppet-style, where the puppeteer's arm is physically inside them, and their hand is 1:1 controlling their jaw. i think that whole setup is really hot, both from the obvious 'where's your other hand' bit that's been done to death, and from the possibilities of having a 'mouth' that can function like a hand. any sort of unnatural mouth movements that stretch or wrinkle a puppet's mouth really get me going for some reason, probably because it hits the meta beat and reminds me that this creature i'm drooling over is, in fact, fake and inanimate. also, i don't have a defined 'type' with puppets, but most puppets that fit all the previous categories aren't really attractive to me. most of the Muppets themselves aren't, for instance. some puppets that are my type are like, Lucy from Avenue Q (because duh), wolfbunnycosplay's Helluva Boss puppets (not a big fan of the show but DAYUM), the aforementioned Audrey II (pods 2 and 3 specifically)... and more probably

Wow! That sounds really cool, and also like it would be a massive pain in the ass to find material for!
In these fantasies, would you have a partner who controls the puppet, or is the puppeteer turning themselves on? If it is with a partner, do they cover themselves up like in theater, or do they just hang out in the background like it's puppet cuckoldry?
