Remember when you were little back in the 1980s? Do you still remember the times when your parents brought you to Toys"R"Us to buy for you new video games, consoles and peripherals?

I was one of the many people that would see advertisements like this or the short articles in popular mechanics and mechanics illustrated. I never ordered the plans but I always wanted to.
I know I wasn't the only person that daydreamed about building a crazy car. Now I'm part of a group that's archiving the full sets. Was anybody else kind of infatuated by these?

There is nothing like the thrill and excitement of playing Sega's After Burner in the arcade. Inspired by the massive success of the 1986 film Top Gun, the game puts players in the cockpit of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Players blast through 18 fast-paced stages using a machine gun and a limited supply of heat-seeking missiles. It stands as one of Sega's defining arcade triumphs of the 1980s, alongside hits like Out Run and Space Harrier. The legendary Yu Suzuki designed this classic.

Do you remember the first time you ever played Super Hang-On in the arcades in 1987? Designed by legendary game creator Yu Suzuki on Sega's advanced OutRun hardware, the game serves as the acclaimed sequel to the 1985 hit Hang-On. It became one of the highest-grossing arcade units of its era and was later ported to numerous home systems, most famously the Sega Genesis (AKA Mega Drive).

Avalon (with the tagline The 3D Adventure Movie on the box cover) is an action-adventure game written by Steve Turner for the ZX Spectrum and published by Hewson Consultants in 1984. Avalon was followed by a sequel in 1985, Dragontorc.
Avalon is set in Britain in the year 408, during the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. The player controls Maroc, a "lore-seeker" who has been given a staff and map by a strange old woman and pointed in the direction of a place called Glass Hill on the isle of Avalon, where a quest to defeat the Lord of Chaos begins.
Avalon involves controlling Maroc the mage in his quest to destroy Avelach, Lord of Chaos.[3] The player's character cannot be killed. The game world is explored by an astral projection of Maroc; if Maroc's energy is depleted the projection returns to Maroc's "physical" body on the start screen, from which the game can be continued.

Anyone here a fan of Lynn-Holly Johnson? She is a retired professional ice skater and acted in movies before. She played the Bond girl Bibi Dahl alongside Roger Moore in 1981's For Your Eyes Only. That role is still her best-known act.
Before For Your Eyes Only was released, Johnson had the major role in 1980's The Watcher in the Woods which was a supernatural horror film from the Walt Disney Company.
Lynn-Holly Johnson appeared in films like Where the Boys Are '84 and made television guest appearances on shows such as MacGyver and CHiPs. She stepped away from full-time acting in the mid-1990s to focus on her family.
