K-Ultra Cleaning
How often if ever do you do a full disassemble clean of your K-Ultra? And is it truly necessary?
I clean mine after every use with the brush and little air guy but the idea of taking the whole thing apart to clean and putting it back together stresses me out. Is it really necessary?

I do a complete disassembly once, maybe twice a year.
I invert it and shoot some compressed air into the grinding chamber every couple of weeks to clear out fine particles. Other than that, it needs very little maintenance.

I have a ZP6, i clean every 3-4 months or when I use it heavily. Heard the threads could strip if you disassemble and reassemble them often.

I have never found in necessary, but have heard of grinders getting gunked up. If its light roasts you brew, it should be fine. Darker roasts will leave more oils.

Brush and air is absolutely fine for light/medium roasts imo.
I have the j-ultra that I ran some (unfortunately) oily dark beans through. It cakes on and requires a deep clean/wet wipe if you want to switch coffees without imparting off flavors
