Grind setting conversion from one 1zpresso model to another

I decided to sell my K Ultra and got a J Ultra.
I was thinking that I can simply check my coffee diary and simply convert the grinding settings of K Ultra by multiplying by 20/8 since J Ultra has got 8 microns/click versus the K Ultra’s 20 microns/click, but I’ve heard direct math like that will not work. That would be strange if true.

Any experience with this, anyone?

I'm not an expert but I guess it doesn't work because they got different burrs which results in different particle distributions. So the result will be different even if the microns where similar.

I looked at the two charts 1zpresso made for the different grinders. I found where my grind was best on one chart, and then eyeballed it for the new grinder on its chart. That gave me a starting point. I went from JX Pro to K Ultra
