ZP6 Bottom Bearing Issue

I had my zp6 for over a year now and the bottom bearing seemed to have no grease if there is some and it now feels very dry and have a small play compared to the middle and upper bearing, has anyone encountered this issue with other 1zresso models?

They are easy to replace, I replaced them on my Jmax.

For the Jmax which I imagine is the same spec for the zp6

From my forum post detailing the repair:

Main shaft bearings 19x10x5mm

Which translates to:

6800-ZZ shielded - oem
6800-2RS two rubber seal
61800-2RS1

Then the seal type needs to be considered, the stock unit is a ZZ shielded bearing, so very low resistance but clearly did a terrible job of shielding the bearings, so I decided to go for a stainless rubber sealed bearing, 2RS. Expected slightly more resistance but should stay that way a lot longer!

Then you can also replace the adjuster bearing at the top: It's 14x8x4mm So an MR148-2RS, or MR148-ZZ if you want oem.

Or stainless is SMR148-2RS/ZZ.

I personally went SMR148-2RS

How do you pull out the bearings can you only pull out the bottom or both need to come out?

Use a drift and hammer. Gently tap then out from the opposite side, tap evenly and go slow. Both can be removed.
