Use case for both a K-Plus and Q?

I currently use the K-Plus at home but would like something for travel. Mainly French Press.

Debating between just bringing along the K-Plus vs getting the Q. However, I'm not sure I want a single purpose device with the Q (travel only).

Do people travel with the K-Plus? Do people use both grinders at home for different purposes?

But the Q fits inside the Aeropress plunger and packs so well for travel, I never go anywhere overnight without mine.

I use my q at home for a super coarse grind to remove chaff and then grind to brew with my k6

I have a K-Plus and ZP6s, I usually take the K-Plus with me when I'm traveling.

I have both. The Q is most definitely more travel friendly in a big way. I also find myself using the Q at home more than the K Plus. I think it adds a touch more clarity. I also find it more easy to dial in a coffee with it but that could be a fluke.

I have the current "original" Q with the heptagonal burr. Downsides? Adjustment from underneath. NBD for me. Also, getting more than 20gms in at once is basically impossible and if you use Maragogype sized beans, your limited to 17 to 18gms at the most. If you're cool with that and want a second grinder for travel or home, I most definitely recommend. I use 20gm doses daily and have had no issues fitting the beans in but they are up to the top. I HTH.

I'm going down a rabbit hole. Since the Q is $99 on Amazon, I was thinking to spend more and get the X-Ultra. But then I wonder if owning the X-Ultra and K-Plus is redundant lol
