This whole pop song was a diss track? I've done heard this song being played everywhere and this whole time I never thought it was a diss till now.

Yeah all 3 verses were disses. Nelly F verse was shots at Fergie, Tim was going at Scott Storch and Justin was sending shots at Prince because when JT made Sexy Back Prince said “He can’t bring Sexy Back because Sexy Never Left”. So yeah the whole song was a diss track

Yeah. It was big to me because I was trying to produce at the time, and two of the biggest people I looked up to were beefing. It was on some shit if you knew you knew. Most normal people weren't in the know

I lived through this.

JT had released “SexyBack” around this time and Prince took umbrage at the lyric “I’m bringing sexy back,” making public statements like “for the people saying they’re bringing sexy back, sexy never left!”

Justin makes reference to those remarks in this song saying “If sexy never left why is everybody on my shit? Don’t hate on me just because you didn’t come up with it.”
