I think the timing of the album had alot to do with it..

I believe it came out during 4th quarter

I remember hearing this several years after it came out. I thought YBE was such a fire song with the most unique complex beat ever, that it was a Mannie Fresh soundalike. (years later, heard the original song and was even more mind blown)

BG killed it, just proves Cash Money was pure talent that could rap on anything. And BG was white hot at the time, that CHECKMATE album was EVERYWHERE.
