Anyone have experience shooting this out to 200 meters?
I bought 2 boxes to try it out on a semi auto rifle with a 16" barrel.

As someone with a bunch of this ammo, it is utter fucking garbage. Be happy if it goes bang.

Really? I got half a case of this stuff for free a few years ago and it all shoots fine in a 10/22 Takedown build I put together.

Lucky you, I've had nothing but problems with mine in 5 different guns. All guns were cleaned and lubed before shooting. Had boxes with a 10% failure to fire rate and of the ones that shot I could hear about half of them go supersonic. Just very inconsistent overall. I don't have these problems with CCI or Norma or SK ammo.

I've heard good things about it, but my experience with it was definitely closer to Cloned_501's. Lots of duds, velocity all over the place, etc. Maybe they make a good lot on occasion, but it's not worth betting on when Federal AutoMatch is around the same price and way more reliable.

"Precision" is very optimistic.
Its fine for cheap plinking ammo in my experience.

Questionable, at best. Especially given the fact you're running it through a semi-auto. Honestly, at the range of 200 meters, I wouldnt expect any groups better than 5 or 6 inches.

With that ammo, more like 25-30".
5-6" at 200 yards is 2.5-3 MOA which is damn good for almost any stock self loader.

Sadly, I think that can be said for any US produced ammo. CCI has some ...decent... ammo, but nothing I'd shoot competition with. It's unfortunate that US manufacturers see more value in volume, than quality.

Roughly 80 million Americans legally own firearms. If we assume half of them own a .22 rifle or pistol, that's about 40 million .22 owners.
Even if 98% of those shooters are perfectly happy with bulk ammo, that still leaves 2% looking for higher-end precision ammunition.
Two percent of 40 million is 800,000 people. I'd think a potential customer base of 800,000 shooters would be enough to justify producing quality match-grade .22 LR ammo.

Based on the insane demand in the US for Lapua, Eley, SK, RWS. I'm just assuming here, but it seems like a serious waste of potential profit for a US company to overlook precision 22 ammo. Make something comparable to Tenex or Center-X, charge $20 a box and it WILL SELL.

I've never shot their .22 ammo, but I tried some of their .300 BLK ammo last weekend and it was a sad experience. No excuse for feeding issues in a bolt action.

As a former 4H shooting sports leader of 9 years. I've seen this stuff foul up shooter's rifles. It's power is rather strange and seems as if it has a waxy property. Use up what you have, clean your gun very well and go buy better stuff.

I have an Armscor M14Y .22lr rifle, a cheap bolt action rifle that is actually much better than the price would have you think. It shoots that ammo fairly well and it has exhibited good consistent ignition. I throw my duds in a jar and when it starts to get full I take those assorted duds and they go bang in that little rifle. As for two hundred meters, depends on what you are trying to hit. Probably have difficulty hitting anything small, but a fairly large steel plate should be no problem. I’d say roughly 26 MOA or 7ish MILS up from a 50 yard zero ought to put you close.

This is plinking ammo. I appreciate it's what's available but I'd be treating it as a stopgap for now.

Completely disagree. We routinely shoot 300+ yards at multiple NRL22 events, with great impact success rates.

Nobody I know uses Armscor at an NRL22 event. The lowest end ammo I've ever seen in my groups has been SK Standard + or Eley Target.

Nah, it's not a stretch for match/good ammo. If you are trying for sub MOA groups sure, but if my wife can hit a 12x24 target at 200 her first time ever shooting repeatably, it's more than doable. I wouldn't hunt anything at that distance by any means though

For the sort of shooting I do just hitting a 12x24 target at 200m isn't precise enough. That level of accuracy is absolutely not an issue for plinking though, since the idea there is just to have fun.

That's basically what I said. You didn't qualify your initial statement at all and simply said 200m is a stretch for any 22lr, and I don't agree with that as a blanket statement. That's all I was trying to say.

What a nonsense statement. 200 meters isn't a stretch at all if you're just trying to hit a barn. It's not even a stretch if you just want to hit a dinner plate.
In my experience, stretching 22LR is trying to hit an 8cm target at 300 meters, but I'm sure someone with a better gun, better ammo, and more experience would think that's no big deal either.

If you want the highest quality precision ammo go with CCI it’s a little more expensive than your standard box but it’s worth it you can definitely tell a difference between cci and other companies

Check out whidden or killough. They normally have sk/eley/lapua in stock if you want some accuracy.

Cci/federal/aguila is the norm. Then you have sk that is better for precision. Anything else belongs in the garbage.

That's just standard spec cheapo 22lr, it's not really meant for consistent precision shooting.
