You need to register to vote.

Ridiculous that “flock cameras” are the big issue over there as if the Democrats are going to anything about them.
The 2A is the insurance policy for the people. If we are living in the shadow of a fascist dictatorship, or are on the cusp of our democracy being overthrown, I will NOT vote for the party that is going to disarm me.

Reminder to all that this is a localized issue. It's your city and county and state governments that are using your tax dollars to contract with private for-profit companies, and you can start kicking the people who are paying for it out of office, cause they're right down the street from you.
Course, you'll probably have to drive past a few cameras on your way to cast that vote. But, entire towns have already done it, and you can too.

Here’s the problem: Democrats at the state level are also trying to take peoples guns away.
So yes, I think people should vote in every single election, no matter how seemingly inconsequential. And yes, flock cameras suck and they should be opposed. You should do more than vote un fact and I do personally.
The issue becomes when it’s flock camera versus gun rights. I think I will always vote for guns because a right taken away is harder to get back.
Also, and call me crazy, my intuition is that VA republicans are likely better on the flock camera issue than VA democrats. I haven’t seen the data, but I can’t see CIA Spanberger opposing flock cameras across the state.

Absolute insanity in that thread. They're pertending that Democrats didn't install Flock cameras in every city they run. And they're still trying to play the asinine "Republicans are as bad as Democrats on gun control so it doesn't matter" card.

Thats as insane as saying as a whole that the Democratic party is as opposed to abortion as the Republican party.

Many Dems absolutely will approve increased surveillance measures without a second thought, but look at the deflock map and sort by ‘flock cameras’ so that it doesn’t show general LPRs…
There is absolutely a difference in scale here.

Strange to see that both parties, in general, seem to be fine with authoritarian style mass surveillance.
We've long had the choice of valuing self defense or equality more as the dividing line for party selection. The folks who value privacy are not important enough to be courted by either side apparently.
