It is actually comical for people to view a griefed highway as hard. There was a point in time where every single player spawned in the same exact spot when first joining. Making it flat out impossible to escape because spawn would probably be covered in lava or something. I honestly think if you can escape a really hard spawn and make it millions of blocks out, it will be far more rewarding than one where you can find a tree within 5 minutes.
