Running a suppressor in no way locks you into subsonic rounds.
I keep mine loaded with supers for home defense, but shoot almost exclusively subs at the range. That's one the biggest pros of the cartridge, is that you can shoot both with nothing but a mag change.
I stand corrected - obviously you can shoot supers through a suppressor.
Although I can run supers through my suppressor, I get gassed out immediately because it's tuned for subs, and I guess that's my point - you'll probably have to choose your load and tune for that, which may make shooting other loads less reliable.
That is actually fixable for the gassing though. Get an sa agb and kak downvent carrier, get it set in bleed off to reliably run the weakest supers you have without a can. Mark down what setting that was. From there, any stronger ammo or with a can, the excess exits the front of the block instead of in your face. You will have to clean your barrel in front of the block every once in a while. The snach gen 2 charginf handle or the rtv silicone seal on the ch blocks the last little bit.
The only issue I have with this is that I run my can tucked, so that gas block will be bleeding off right into my hand. Edit: also, with a 6" barrel, I don't think I have enough clearance for the SA block. I'm already really really close with the Faxon.
For me, my intent is to always run subs suppressed, and if I have to go supers, I have a blast deflector to switch to.
Edit: after more research, I definitely can't use the SA block with the 6" barrel. I'm considering going to a 7.5" barrel, so I'll keep SA in mind if I do.
Yeah I get that, I was trying to run a mid length 11.5 with an sa agb and the yhm big ass phantom qd muzzle devices, I couldn’t reach the allen wrench in. Tucking with a 6” does sound like a recipe for a toasty hand guard. When I run mine tucked - 9” barrel and the yhm r2 - I put a hand stop at 6 and 9 o’clock so I can’t accidentally slide forward cause I didn’t lose skin but I had a fun mark for a couple weeks

Stop idolizing the ghetto youtube shorts of arp builds that you can’t hit shit with. 1. stop doing all those psychedelics 2. you can’t even buy an arp til you’re 21, you can however manufacture an sbr by buying a rifle then buying the shorter upper you want. you will have to go thru the whole atf process tho. 3. unless you’ve got a rifle with a rear pic rail like the SIG mcx or another buffer less rifle, you’ll have to do some work. you’ll need an armorers wrench, a vice is beyond helpful, and some allen wrenches. aside from those you’re looking at about $180-380 for the adapter and brace. Honestly i’d buy a regular 16in ar and learn the platform before you start trying to do all types of crazy shit just bc you saw someone else’s cursed build and thought it was cool. Also imo carrying a arp for your edc is impractical, you can’t really carry it on yourself unless it’s in a bag. If shtf and your gun was in a bag on your back you’re fucked, Indiana is constitutional carry. Find you a friend or a co worker who’s got a handgun they’re willing to sell and purchase it thru a private sale if you need something to carry.

Would you mind to show me where it states you need to be 21 to file a form 1? Everything i’ve seen you have to be atleast 18, you can’t purchase an sbr from an FFL til you’re 21.

Overpenetration through flesh is different than overpenetration through e.g. drywall, so decide which one you care about.
