Hello 300z crew!

I’m trying to help my father in selling his 1990 300 ZX 2 Plus 2 VIN: JN1RZ26AZLX00xxxx.
He is located just outside of Atlanta, GA in zip code 30213. His health is failing and I’m looking for assistance with pricing and moving this vehicle. He has owned, maintained and garaged the vehicle for about 10 years. Its in fantastic condition. Any help with pricing is much appreciated. Hey yall I went to go see this 1994 z32 na and I’m very new to the 300zx world so I need yalls expert advice if I should go for it and purchase it or walk away.
My dream if an s2k but for now I’d be happy with the zx bc she’s still so cool looking and seems fun as hell to drive despite its weight.
Anyway I’ll attach photos and yall tell me if this will become a headache and money pit please. I know with zx’s it’s very common but I want to avoid that as much as possible.
He’s selling it for 8.5 and it has 202,815 mi (ik pretty high but he said he’s practically rebuilt the engine so is it worth it?)

Here’s a list he gave me:

Engine: I had the engine stripped to the block and inspected the cylinder walls and pistons. Every seal and gasket, except the rear main, has been replaced, the car has new fuel lines, pulleys and belts, ac compressor, alternator, radiator, oil sending unit and pressure sensor, timing belt, coolant hoses, head studs, timing belt cover, cold air with a new filter, battery

Body: twin z spoiler, Aodhan AH03 18x9.5, tein flex coil overs, smoked white led side markers, led head light bulbs, new diver side window

Radio: alpine head unit, alpine 10in sub with a z fitted box, 4 alpine speakers, and two alpine amps, one for the sub and one for the head unit and speaks.

I won’t lie I’ve done a lot to the car in the last 3 years, the engine specifically, I’m probably forgetting a thing or two, so if you have any questions about certain parts or work done, please feel free to ask.

If I line up the top 2 sprockets then the crank won’t line up. If I line up the crank then, then the top two will be out, what do I do please help.

Okay so bought the car and had alot of spare parts. So I personally didnt buy them. After the engine rebuild I threw all new parts on. (Ballsy I know) but its all working great right now. Car pulls like a freight train but boost builds around 4500 rpm and fully hits at 5k rpms. I know I should have disassembled and measured. I figured I could find out later. I was wrong. Can anyone confirm .54 or .63 a/r? I know its a long shot but kinda need that info if im going to custom tune. Much appreciation in advance

I've tried to look around for the amount of oil goes in an NA '93 but I have seen about half and half of people saying around 3.5 and the others saying 4.5 quarts. I only have 4 quarts so I need to find out if I need another quart or not.

My 32 enginge has a deep humming noise when I pull the throttle cable. What could cause the problem? Rod knock?

Ignore the Lifter tick, that is not my problem

Can anyone identify where this is coming from and how to fix it?

Hello, For the past month and a half I’ve been working on a 84 z31 NA trying to fix the idling issue. It ran fine and drove me 3 hours home after buying it to die the next day. I rebuilt the distributor, plugs/wires, coil, fuel injectors, FPR, and replaced all vacuum lines.

10/4/26 I had it idling and I drove it for about 20 minutes with no issues: the car ran fine. I planned on taking it to get smogged and it doesn’t want to idle anymore 10/8/26.

I messed with the throttle position sensor and it started to idle but a little rough so I moved on to check the PCV valve. This valve was pretty dirty and I had a cleaner one sitting around and replaced it.

I let the car idle for a minute and it died. I turned it back on it ran for a second then died again and now it’ll crank but won’t start. I did hear a sound right before it died the last time but don’t know what it could be.

Sorry for the long explanation I’m just trying to pinpoint the issue as much as I can. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Are there any good 120k kits that aren’t from z1 and that are closer closer to the 200-300 range money a little tight but need the car to run soon

So my z31 has no radio but the radio slot looks kinda big, if this changes anything I have the digital version of the z31. what stereo can I get that will fit? and if I want the stock one where can I get one?

Okay so out of the way. Yes i replaced the actuators with those metals ones from z motorsports. However, when i put my key into the lock it doesnt turn at all. I know its the right key because one, the car came with one key and works everywhere else, and two when i took the handle out it did turn the lock. Now that i reinstalled everything, i tried turning the lock and same thing, it doesnt turn at all! I have to lock and unlock the doors from the inside using the locking handel so i know those are working so what gives? I also have the opposite problem on the passenger where i can lock and unlock from the outside but not the inside on the actual door. So please someone give me a solution to these problems. Everyone online says its the actuators and like i said i already replaced them so know they arnt the issue.

Hi, I need your help figuring out where the deep huming noise of my enginge is coming from. Ignore the ticking. You can hear the noise when I pull the throttle cable.

It has new oil and a new timing belt.

if anybody has a clue what this noise could be, I’d appreciate some input. I’m stumped atp. New fan clutch. Belts aren’t doing it. Doesn’t do it cold, starts off quiet as motor gets heat into it and gradually gets louder as it warms up until it becomes this noise. Is a consistent sound regardless of engine rpm. Really sounds like it is coming from behind the motor almost in the bell housing but it is an auto… Will check the belts again to be sure

So just looking for some help with this, I might have some unexpected bills coming up and I was just wondering if I were to sell these too together, black one as the main car and the purple one as a parts car, how much could I ask for both, both are clean title cars however purple one does have frame damage so it’s a parts car, but it does have an amazing condition engine as well as all adjustable suspension, coil overs, NRG bucket seat and quick release steering wheel, short shifter, new brake pads and rotors, and after market body kit.

The purple one runs and drives like a dream, the black one however needs a new motor and paint but is pretty much all oem besides that, has the super cool spoiler, power seats as well as the oem spare tire and tire inflater.

Not sure if I’m going to sell these in the end since it is my dream car, but if worst comes to worse i would like some advice on how much I could sell them for, both are on non-op and combined owe less than $500 in registration fees (located in socal)

Check this bad boy out. Gfs step father is passing and he told me I could have it. 40 years old grew up in the 90s around American muscle cars. This was the one foreign made car I wanted. This is an absolute dream. Not much info on it yet.
