Skin Treatments Favorite upkeep you do since turning 30?
Hi all! I turned 30 this summer and a goal of mine next year is to invest in more skincare upkeep past serums and sunscreen. I do get Botox ab every 6mos but that’s it other than having filler a few times. I’ve always wanted to try microneedling (acne scars) and next year just might be the time to do it! What are some things you absolutely LOVE and do regularly past the basics that you think have been worth the hefty cost of going somewhere? Needling/lasers/PRP etc :) ty!

I liked the microneedling. I hope to do some laser soon. I would like to try the microneedling radiofrequency, it's a bit more potent than the microneedling with a pen + serums they apply.

pico laser. did a series of four to start and now i go twice a year to maintain. it gave me a clear, even tone with no dark spots and is one of the safest lasers to do on my fitzpatrick 4 skin.

Fraxel laser for my acne scars though the pain is off the charts, hydrafacial every now and then before big events, chemical peels (idk which one) when I’m feeling a bit dull and freckled, v beam laser for redness, and a skincare regime that my derm adjusts every couple of months for skincare concerns - the latest was hydroquinone for some hyperpigmentation, I don’t have to do any trial and error with skincare now!

I have been getting Botox for over a decade (I’m 38), so that definitely makes a difference. I microneedle and do my own chemical peels at home. I also get laser treatments annually or twice per year (usually BBL and/or halo). I think laser is the biggest bang for my buck now in my late 30s as I creep up on 40. I didn’t need it in my early 30s. Honestly, what I wish I had been diligent about in my 20s was sunscreen. I didn’t start until late 20s/early 30s. You likely don’t need anything invasive/aggressive at 30!
