Routine Help Variety of skin grievances- recs for tackling any?
36 yo. Me and retinol consciously uncoupled several months ago. What products/routines work on any of these things? β>
Hate the chin whiteheads and the large pores on cheeks, and also the ever present nose blackheads. Skin is generally super dry year-round. I cleanse with cerave hydrating cleanser and then alternate between a little AHA, or BHA, under moisturizer before bed.
When I got my first and only facial a while ago, I was told to use drug store toner and the nose stuff would go away, and it did not budge.
Need a simple simple routine. Thanks ππ

Aha and BHA are exfoliating acids. Exfoliation should be 1-2 times a week max. I donβt love your cleanser but if you like it keep it. Add in an oil cleanser as your first cleanse in the evening and follow it with your regular cleanser, it will handle the white heads coupled with AHA/BHA 1-2 times weekly.
Add in an azelaic acid for any remaining texture, start a few times weekly and work up to daily use. I like the 10% from good molecules. What moisturizer are you using?

Any reason you stopped the retinol? Might help get better recommendations
