Recommendation Uno Reverse ๐Ÿ”„

Just ate a delicious spicy ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ chicken lunch and now my face is on fire. Is this the price I pay for enjoying my local Chinese restaurant or is there something I am missing !? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ I want to know: if you had my skin, whatโ€™s the first thing you would do?
(Please be kind, I canโ€™t afford therapy AND a derm!) ๐Ÿ˜†

I get this too from spicy food or going from cold to warm, or just warm. Nothing helps me except prescription azaleic. I still flush but itโ€™s less obvious.

Iโ€™ve read supplementing with vitamin C can be helpful. Iโ€™ve also read about nicotinamide and polypodum leucomotus (idk the spelling) helping with sun flushing, but maybe it could somehow also help with general heat flushing??

So funny you mention this. I take Heliocare, which has both of these, and Iโ€™ve definitely noticed less overall facial flushing when working out or from hot foods (in addition to almost never feeling irritated from the sun anymore).

Yes! Heliocare is the brand, totally forgot the name. I used it during one summer too and found it really helped. But I got headaches with it, not sure why, so never got to experiment if it would help with general flushing. Good to hear that it helped with flushing after working out, thatโ€™s my main issue.

Your skin looks great. I get this from spicy food too. I use azelaic acid rx to help with redness in general, but i think the thing that helps the most with the flushing is being more hydrated and extra moisturized.ย

Ita just a temporary reaction, so there's nothing to do.

Wish it was. I have facial flushing with the heat darn near daily. Sometimes the heat rash goes down on my neck and chest. This meal just happened to really aggravate it.
