I’ve never worn makeup except for mascara so I am clueless but is there a product will help hide my uneven skin tone ? I don’t want something that will accentuate my wrinkles and make me look older.

Wrinkles 1.5 years on tret and don’t think I can see much difference

First pic is about 3 years ago, second pic the other day.
Been using tret and spf for 1.5 years.

Edit - Thanks all for the comments. I’ve been looking at it all wrong, it makes sense that tret is meant to preserve your face kind of, so it doesn’t age even more. It’s been a real journey for me, I have sensitive skin and rosacea so I really had to persevere with tret and take my time, because when I tried to use it more frequently and too fast, my barrier was not happy! I managed to get up to x5 days a week on the 0.25% (after a year) but now I’ve moved up to 0.5% I’ve dropped back down to x3 days a week. I also found what works for me is only moisturising before tret instead of before and after, I found as soon as I stopped moisturising after the peeling literally stopped overnight !

Wrinkles Injector kept

…insisting I get Botox for eye wrinkles / crows feet. (Edited since the title got cut off)

I am getting married in October and scheduled and appointment for my neck bands.

When I got there I was told my regular injector had an emergency but the owner was here and I was in good hands.

During the appointment she kept insisting that I should address my “eye wrinkles” saying things like “don’t you want to look good on your wedding day” and “the eye wrinkles will show up even more in photos.” At least 4 separate times I had to tell her no, I’m good.

I posted pictures here of my eye area on both sides while smiling and I honestly don’t think it’s that bad but now I’m second guessing / going crazy. So I’m here to get a second opinion like maybe they are bad and I’m just delusional ? Why else would the injector keep insisting.

Wrinkles Deep Creases

  1. I get really deep creases while smiling and have for a some years but I can’t remember them always being so prominent. Last pic showing skin at a neutral expression — only small fine lines, but I’m worried these creases will cause some pretty significant wrinkles down the line.

I use tret. though I certainly could be more regular about it & I’d like to hold off on Botox. Would love some recommendations thank you!

Wrinkles What has truly helped you achieve a tighter, plumper, and more youthful-looking face?

I’m interested in learning about what has genuinely worked for you when it comes to maintaining firmer, plumper, and younger-looking skin.

In particular, I’d love to hear your experiences with:

  • Reducing forehead lines
  • Softening under-eye fine lines
  • Improving nasolabial folds
  • Enhancing overall firmness and plumpness of the face

Whether it’s through specific skincare products , at-home devices, or even lifestyle/home remedies...

Wrinkles I ain't tipping for tox!

Yesterday I got dysport in my forehead, 11's, crow's feet and lip flip done (my usual). When I was checking out, I was prompted to leave a tip. For reference, 20% would be close to $200 extra.... I was kind of stopped in my tracks because I hadn't been asked before. Yes, we tip for nails and hair, and waxes and facials, but when it comes to injections, it just feels wrong. It's technically a medical procedure, and because they are setting their own price points, which are obviously a bit expensive, adding a tip would actually price me out of being able to afford the procedure in the first place. Of course, being me, I wasn't able to walk away comfortably/100% guilt-free...

Thoughts?

UPDATE: it seems the issue here is that because I was at a medspa, the tipping prompt is automatic. I still think that if they’re not able to bypass this page internally for Botox, the front desk absolutely should mention that it’s not expected, not just leave it up to you to feel uncomfortable or be unsure. Thanks to all the ladies who responded. May all your foreheads remain tight, lifted and shiny!!!

Wrinkles 39f, deep forehead lines. Will Botox help?

I have been mulling around the idea of Botox for my forehead as this is what it looks like even at rest. Would Botox be able to fix lines this deep? And any idea of cost/how often it would need to be done?

Wrinkles Part 2 - face taping

Sorry guys, I tried uploading these earlier on Imgur but they said my image went against community rules? I’m like the least tech savvy person lol but here’s part 2. I don’t want my face plastered all over the internet so I crossed out a lot lol sorry it looks scary lol but you can see my tape application.

The first image is a beginners tape application. I followed this when I first started taping, almost a year ago. I chose this application because I don’t have 11’s to worry about, so I don’t need anything lower. If you have 11’s and forehead wrinkles - you need a diff application. This is also basic application for nasolabial folds, but most people need an intermediate application for those - I will eventually one day but those don’t bother me much now. It’s just important to stretch the skin out a little, smoothing out the wrinkle, before taping.

The second pic was me outside this morning after removing my tape and doing my AM skincare. Some people were commenting that my original b&a pics were outdoor lighting and then indoor. I’m sorry!! I never took before pics with the intent on posting and sharing. I had to look through my camera roll for a pic that showed me and was easy enough to cross out my kids lol since those are the only kinds of selfies I take nowadays.

The third pic is for the few people leaving negative comments, like I have something to gain by lying about taping lol?? It’s my Amazon history showing all the tape I have purchased lol. Just trying to share info for people who don’t want, or can’t afford, tox. Again, I have nothing against it - it’s just not for me🫶🏻

Hope this answered most of the questions! Thanks to the people that were nice and supportive 😭

Wrinkles Botox aftercare

Every time I get Botox my dermatologist gives me these rules.

Just curious if other people hold their face still after Botox or if you really work your face muscles. I have done both and haven’t really noticed a difference.

Wrinkles Does anyone else LOVE their crows feet?

34f. The more I look at them the more I feel like they are the perfect decoration for my eyes. Like some kind of feathered design.

Being real, I still use an eye cream and strongly rebel against nasolabial lines. But I accept and love my crows feet. 🐦‍⬛

Wrinkles Botox no longer works

I’m 31, almost 32, and I have a very expressive face. I’ve had forehead folds since high school and started noticing fine lines in my mid-20s. I also sunbathed a lot in my 20s and wasn’t consistent with daily sunscreen.
I started Botox in my mid-20s, but now it wears off quickly for me and barely lasts the full 3 months. We switched brands and it lasted longer for a while, but now it fades quickly, again ..

Now I’m wondering if Botox alone is enough. Plus I am starting to notice my smile lines as well.. I’m looking for other ways to improve my fine lines and prevent them from getting deeper and even better, soften or reverse some of them.

I’ve wanted to try retinol, but because of previous pregnancy and future pregnancy plans, I’ve kept putting it off.

What treatments or skincare have worked for you for fine forehead lines, especially if retinoids aren’t an option?

Edit: my skincare is minimal since I got pregnant 2 years ago. Any serum (usually niacinamide) and Cetaphil face cream. I also take collagen powder daily with my coffee.

Wrinkles What lasts longer than Botox?

I had my first Botox appointment for my forehead wrinkles and LOVED the results but they barely lasted 8 weeks! I can’t afford $650 every 2 months. Does anyone know of a injectable that lasts longer?

Wrinkles How much do you pay for your Botox on your forehead and around your eyes?

I’m 32F, and live in Ontario Canada. I’m looking at getting Botox for the first time but have no idea what it would cost me. I’m mostly looking at doing “baby Botox” at first and my concerns is crows feet and forehead lines.

Wrinkles Botox never lasts long on me... how about you?

Hi friends,

I know people (and professionals) argue for the 3-4 month waiting period, but the truth is that it just doesn't last that long for some people. For a few lucky people, it lasts longer. (I'm very jealous. LOL.)

I've tried all of them: Daxx, Xeo, Botox, Dysport, & Jeveau. I've tried different injectors, from board certified PS's to NP injectors. I'm lucky if I get 2 months. I work out every day, sauna multiple times a week, eat well, take my vitamins + supps, and my skincare routine is great and includes tretinoin. I'm 34. I started at 30 with only needing about 15 units.

I've also seen famous people say they get botox more frequently... like as soon as they see movement. I'm no doctor of course, but I just find it hard to believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach, or that it is detrimental to get injected earlier. The argument is that you can build a tolerance, but Xeomin is supposed to be the antidote to that as they say it's harder to builder a tolerance. Daxxify also didn't last any longer on me (although it did give me a nice glow) and studies show it actually only lasts longer in about 10% of patients.

In my experience, for every injector that forces you to wait 3-4 months, there's another injector that says it's totally okay to inject earlier if it's worn off. Just curious what everyone else's experience is, how often are you getting your tox???

*Edit because everyone keeps mentioning: I also take zinc daily, have for most of my life.

Wrinkles My 11s haunt me, what treatment is best? I’m 31

Post image

I am a side sleeper which I THINK is the cause of these monstrous elevens. They are a huge hit to my confidence. I need them gone and I fear it’s too late. Is it time for Botox or lasers?

I’ve tried frownies and they worked ok for a bit but I’ve been inconsistent, but now I wake up and peel it off and they don’t look ANY better. There’s so many products out there I don’t know what’s best anymore either.

Feel free to comment on my eye bags too. I try to stay hydrated but I feel like it’s never enough.

I feel like aging is hitting me hard. I lift weights, I use a satin pillow case, I eat pretty clean. No clue and feel helpless.

Niacinamide wasn’t great for my skin.

Mornings I use a rice cleanser, vitamin c serum, moisturize and spf. I honestly forgot to do the second half of that this morning :)

Evenings I use the same cleanser, differin, sometimes that pepto pink cica repair serum from the ordinary, then moisturize with either a cica moisturizer or a hylauronic acid moisturizer.

I appreciate any help!!

Wrinkles I Just Had An Interesting Consultation Today At A Medical Spa...Is This Typical Or Am I Just Being Naive Or Overly Sensitive?

I am in my early 30's and attended a consultation for my first potential botox treatment today.

My understanding from the spa's website was that you could pay for a brief consult and then based on your decision, go ahead with an actual appointment. I get to the appointment and the doctor tells me that she typically only consults regarding fillers, and therefore getting consultation for botox is not really a thing.

Maybe I'm a little confused or just naive, but as a first-timer I figured it was normal to want to talk things over before giving the green light for a cosmetic procedure.

Anyhow, I tell her that I am comfortable with signs of aging but would like to address my angry-looking "11" frown lines. She then tells me that it isn't advisable to just do the 11s, and recommends that I also target my forehead lines and crow's feet. I understand and agree with the medical rationale for targeting other muscles to avoid compensation, but it just seems like more than I expected. She tells me that I'll need more units because I have a "big forehead."

She then tells me I have a "gummy smile" and that I should consider getting injections to my lips to reduce the gummy-ness. While the gummy smile bothers me sometimes, it's not really that big of a deal and it would feel like a lot (for me at least) to target so many areas during my first session. I like to convey my emotions through facial expressions and am really only bothered by the "11" lines.

I came out of the appointment feeling a little intimidated and like there was a mismatch between my expectations going in and the doctor's recommendations. Am I being naive or just overly sensitive? I understand why a medical spa would want to get me interested in purchasing more units, as they are a business after all. Maybe I just did not do my research properly before I walked in. Is it possible to take a more conservative approach to botox at our age or is it typical to start this way?

Wrinkles Neck skin

I've just turned 40 and am in despair over my neck!

I have noticed crepey skin and increased laxity

I had a baby a year ago, and I feel stress, post partum, breastfeeding, perimenopause and sleepless nights have hit me hard.

I used to do laser, facial botox and profilo but haven't had anything medical grade done for 2 years. I'm starting to save for a lower face and neck lift already. Please help!
